We met the owner as something broke, could not have been a lovelier lady. All sorted pronto. I am going back, and hopefully will ba able to book the same apartment. It is so close to everything I wanted to see in Rome. Thank you.

Myself and girlfriend travelled around Italy for 2 weeks stayed here the night before our flight home as it was cheap for €50 with great location. We arrived at about 11 o clock could not find the hotel at all. We walked up and down the street then notice an A4 sheet of paper stuck onto the wall with the... More

We were greeted by someone who seemed drunk, the whole place smelled of cigarette smoke, as they guy smoked a lot in the corridor. We couldn't sleep as the smell of it came into the room when we were trying to sleep. The bathroom was dirty and mouldy. We went out in the day and when we came back the... More

The was the worst dump I have ever stayed in! I requested a non-smoking room, but the owner sat right outside our room & smoked non stop! We had to buy air freshener & had to leave the windows open, but it still stunk! Someone went through our bags & went through the clothes in the closet & the drawers!... More

Please dont go near this place. It has to be the worst place I have ever stayed in. We couldnt get in when we arrived - no one there to meet us - gate locked. No answer to phone. When eventually a cleaner let us in we had to ask someone in another room for the codes to get in... More

Hotel is in a fantastic location, but use of the word hotel is a strech, it essentially is a glorified apartment. There are no staff onside and our room was very dirty. Our room was not clean on the first day and we skipped the breakfast. When checking out, it was obvious the owner was under the influence. Overall, I... More

We booked this place because it was great value for its very central location. All we required was a clean bed for a quick stay after a late night out and early morning departure, unfortunately that was too much to ask of the B&B Reginella. The first impression was a smell of vomit in the corridor and then the furniture... More

The owner is absolutely unreliable and has his phone always turned off. He turned up 3 hrs late from the agreed check in time, had no idea that we had a booking, 3.30pm all the rooms were still dirty and not ready for check-in. He was very unprofessional, rude and we believe under the influence of alchohol or other substances.... More

5th floor with no elevator (whereas the Google ad told there was a lift!). No breakfast. Just a coffee machine (that doesn't work) in a short corridor. Plastic cups. Outdated cereals that have been there forever. Industrial pastries in a plastic bag. No fruit juice. A shame really. Strange smells in the bathroom, noisy hydraulic system. No soap. Agressive and... the problem is that the owner is very weird and not reliable at all. Room with a central position in Roma, but 5th floor without an elevator. The so-called breakfast is really disapointing, better to go in any coffee.

Staying in Ghetto

Neighborhood Profile
Ghetto
The mini-neigborhood Ghetto holds tight to its reputation as a stand-alone area thanks to its nearly 300-year history as the home to Rome’s Jewish community. Times changed in the 20th century, but the tiny area still retains its mix of tradition, community, and history. Ancient and medieval architectural design frames apartments, bakeries, shops, and restaurants. Friends and families are the pulse of the neighborhood, keeping company on the Via del Portico d’Ottavia. The Ghetto observes the traditional Jewish Shabbat: businesses close from Friday sundown to Saturday sundown.
