Went for a weekend away with the hubby and had a lovely stay at the black hotel. Room was lovely, staff were very helpful and friendly, breakfast was very nice every morning. The hotel is a short 5 minute walk to the bus stop and a 5 minute trip up the road to the nearest metro. I did read a... More

Dreading stay after some reviews.Read tips.Got decent ground floor room so WiFi not too bad but dodgy at times.Luckily not too noisy. Hotel reception fine with us as we appreciated their work.Breakfast room bright and colourful and adequate breakfast with plenty of choice tho avoided cooked items.Be careful with coffee machine. Location is challenging but we got used to it.... More

I must start to say that this hotel was chosen by the travel agency on a organized peligrimage to Rome, so it was not my choice. The only advantage of the hotel is the free parking if you have a car, but public transport is not good (bus + metro) and takes time (aproximately 35 minutes) - the alternative is... More

I was in this hotel several time, but allways i forgot to do the rewiew. 3 times i was here, each time with my wife and friends. First time, we did not rent a car, and it was complicate for us to go in the city, we spend alot of money for taxi, so from my part, it is better... More

We chose this hotel because it was good looking and located near the centre of Rome (we thought). If you should go visiting the centre this hotel is not the right one to choose. You must walk 10 min on a dangerous road with lots of cars next to you and no sidewalk to reach bus 246 for 3 km... More

As there are mixed reviews for this hotel we thought we would give an honest opinion after staying staying here for four nights. For a start, the hotel room itself was spotless. It had a big bathroom with amnesties and the bed was big and comfortable. The restaurant has a basic menu (no pizzas) available and the closet restaurant within... More

I feel the hotel has been given some bad press on here and does not do the hotel or the hotel staff justice. Our stay here was perfect, set in a quiet residential location, a good walk to Cornelia (nearest metro station) but a pleasant walk. I would highly recommend and will definitely be returning at a later date. We... More

My partner and I checked into the Black Hotel for an extended stay in Rome, ignoring the few bad reviews on here because we all know that occasionally people have negative experiences. However, this was awful from beginning to end. The official website boasts a beautiful swimming pool (open until September), convenient location to central Roma, and a very relaxing,... More

Stayed here last week. Here are the good bits: 1) Quiet location if that's what you enjoy. 2) Bed was very comfortable. 3) Not too far to transfer to from Fiumicino airport. 4) Quirky design made it more interesting than run-of-the-mill, anonymous, corporate alternatives The not-so-good bits: 1) Hot water very sporadic. 2) Air con didn't! Temperature just meandered according... More
