Stayed here for 3 nights and found it an ideal location for travellers seeing Rome mainly on foot. Its a very pleasant short walk to the Colosseum and other central sights, and is within a few minutes of the Termini train station so its not far to walk with your suitcases. The hotel itself was clean and pleasant, we were... More

Booked this hotel after seeing positive reviews on trip advisor and wasn't left disappointed! The hotel is a short walk from the termini train station (5-10 minutes) which made getting there nice and easy. We were given a superior room (called the colosseum rooms), these are recently renovated rooms and are spacious and have very modern en suite bathroom. You... More

The staff were very friendly and helpful, they all spoke English which was very welcome and gave useful advice on local attractions. The hotel is in an excellent location to walk to a lot of the famous sights, the room was quite spacious and clean and the air conditioning was very welcome on such a warm time of the year

We stayed at this hotel for 5 nights in August, 2014. As a family of 4 (2 adults, 2 kids) we found this hotel to be very nice and a good value for our money. Our room was all the way at top. The bathroom was completely updated and the room was spacious. There were 2 issues with the room... More

- We stayed here for 5 nights in July 2014. - The rooms are quite small but were clean. In fact, this hotel had the smallest rooms among all the hotels we stayed in, during our vacation in Italy. - The breakfast was good. - The staff was helpful and really nice. Since we had an issue with a shower,... More

This hotel was tucked away on a side street. While it had a good location that is about the only nice thing I have to say about it. The room was incredibly small, while we can deal with small the room was not clean. The room and bathroom were both dirty. The bathroom was even smaller and really discussing -... More

Wow, this place was awesome. We are a party of three women aged 60. We took train to Rome, got a taxi to the hotel as we were not sure how far the hotel was, but knew it was not a great distance away. Be careful of taxis...this guy took us on a joy ride which cost us 15 Euros,... More

I highly recommend this hotel for a city break, rooms were basic, clean and comfortable, the most important part is the great staff nothing was too much trouble, there is always a welcome smile when you get back from a full tourist day. I had left my camera in the back of a taxi to which I was quite upset,... More

Stayed at the Hotel Saturnia two weeks ago for 4 nights. The location is fantastic, its in walking distance (15min) of the Colosseum and other historic locations. The downside for me was that the rooms are super small and cramped and the walls are paper-thin. We could hear all the outside passing street chatter all through the night as well... More

Stayed there in May 2014. It ticks all the boxes for me. It is an ideal location - we walked from the Termini station in under 10 minutes and then walked to the Colloseum again in under 10 minutes. If you get the bus from the airport, it takes about 45 minutes to the Termini and cost 5 Euros -... More

Staying in Monti

Neighborhood Profile
Monti
Monti is Rome’s rebel yell. This neighborhood just west of Termini train station mixes grit with fun as it continues to fight for its reputation as a magnet for the artsy, alternative, and hipster. Every season, quirky boutiques and food spots sprout up on its cobblestone streets. The neighborhood supports unique and homegrown businesses that cater to its longtime residents as well as hipsters on the hunt. Hang out at Piazza della Madonna dei Monti anytime after lunch and you'll always find something going on.
