Me and my husband stayed in this family run hotel in April 2013. We were given a very warm welcome by the whole family, and our stay was very pleasant. The room was quite spacious and very clean . It's close proximity to the Termini was a bonus and there were a lot of restaurants in the vicinity to choose... More

Wonderful hotel, small and friendly. Location perfect. Clean and warm as it is winter. Good breakfast.. Arrived quite late but was greeted by warm friendly owner. Room cleaned every day and coffee and sugar provided. Very secure and felt very private.

We were here for 5 nights. It's close proximity to the Termini train station made it convenient to get there and to be able to travel around Italy. Check in was a breeze and there is a very nice lobby area. We felt the price was good. We were very happy with the room, it was large enough, nice private... More

I have just stayed 3 nights at the above Hotel which is run by a familey. The room was cleaned every day and clean towels provided. The continental breakfast always provided fresh crossants and doughnuts so although the rest of the breakfast was not to my taste there was enough to give you a good start to the day with... More

Great budget hotel. Very easy to get around as close to Termini station. Easy walking distance with suitcases etc. Nice friendly staff. Great breakfast with lots of choice. The hotel was budget but it was clean and adequate. Wifi was excellent. Only negative was you had to pay by cash only.

Room was clean enough, fairly quiet, location was good, easy to get to Termini and walked to Colloseum, Forum, Spanish Steps. Took Metro to Vatican and St. Peters. Our AC barely worked and the room never got decent. We never used AC anywhere else in our two weeks in Italy so it's not like we needed much, but the room... More

The room is very clean and spacious except for the bathroom which is a bit too tiny. The family running this hotel is very nice and helpful. Breakfast is freshly prepared and delicious. Location is great.

Just back from a 4 day trip to Rome and would recommend this friendly hotel. The best thing about it is it's location - a few minutes walk to the Metro and within walking distance of the incredible Colloseum. The Hotel itself is clean, and organised and our room did not disappoint with its pretty en-suite, air conditioning and gorgeous... More

I stayed at 3 different hotels in Rome within 9 months and this was definitely the best in terms of price and value. The room was ample, comfortable, wi-fi fast and the breakfast made a good start to the day. One's experience can sometimes depend on who you are but the sister on day duty was always friendly and they... More

Staying in Esquilino

Neighborhood Profile
Esquilino
Old school vibe from the very beginning is the only way to describe the Esquilino neighborhood. The Esquilino takes pride in being one of the oldest areas in Rome for its key location on one of the city’s famous seven hills. From an ancient neighborhood to its modern incarnation as a multicultural hub, Esquilino always has something going on—polyglot vendors debate street artists while kids play pick-up basketball games. Look around you: this area isn’t like the historic center. Liberty architecture, large piazzas, and long boulevards mix with archaic arches, secret side alleys, and beautiful churches like Santa Maria Maggiore.
