I was astounded to find just how friendly the family (I cannot call them 'staff' of the hotel because they mean more to my husband and I then 'staff') of Hotel Golden Rome. From the minute we entered the building, Giuseppe and his family just could not do enough for us. I would not bother paying for guide books or... More

My husband and I stayed at this wonderful hotel about six years ago, and tried to reserve it for our entire Aug 2015 trip to Rome, but unfortunately it was already booked for most of the week. Luckily we were able to stay at Hotel Golden our final night in Rome and so glad we did! When we arrived on... More

Giuseppe could not have been more friendly or helpful and his recommendations for sightseeing itineraries, ice creams and restaurants were all spot-on. We had the family suite which was large and excellent value. Breakfast was very good.

I had had a great deal of turmoil trying to decide what to rate this property, as there is no doubt that the service provided by the family is wonderful, and in that way you are very well looked after by this family. I however was a little disapointed by our room. Nevertheless I will start with the positives. The... More

If you are looking for a classy hotel with a doorman in a top hat and a flashy foyer this is not the place for you.It is in a side street with a modest hotel sign above a standard large timber door and you go up one flight to a small counter in a hall way.You are however greeted by... More

Everything written on Trip advisor Hotel Golden is true. Such a warm and welcoming family. Rooms are immaculate and well maintained in a quiet area around the corner from the Via Veneto and the Borghese park. My family enjoyed spending time in the park. Great for kids. Highly recommend Hotel Golden.

My husband and I finished a week long trip around Italy in Rome, staying at Hotel Golden. We received a warm greeting and immediately a detailed and well marked map of how to get to all of the sites of Rome we wanted to make sure to see I.e best walking/cab/train route from the hotel to wherever we were going.... The accommodations were excellent. Next time I visit Rome hotel Golden will be at the top of my list for rentals. The family who owns hotel is very accommodating and very helpful. When we arrived early in the morning they had our room ready by 12 am even though check in was not until 3 pm. I would highly recommend... More

Staying in Ludovisi / Via Veneto

Neighborhood Profile
Ludovisi / Via Veneto
Thanks to Fellini and La Dolce Vita, the Ludovisi and Via Veneto neighborhood earned its reputation as a posh area where gorgeous Marcellos wooed actresses and models while bored housewives hung out in streetside cafes. The cafes are still there, and so are the cocktails, but the neighborhood is now home to five-star businesses including hotels, banks, law firms, and embassies. The area is also right next to Villa Borghese, a beautiful park for sporting and cultural adventures. If you're looking for tranquility by night, this may be the place: Ludovisi and Veneto tend to shut down after 8pm.
