My partner and I had a fantastic stay at Hotel Golden. The family who run the hotel couldn't be more helpful and they are extremely knowledgeable about the city. Clean room, free wifi, filling breakfast; I would definitely recommend Hotel Golden to others.

My daughters and I stayed at the Hotel Golden for 3 nights and it certainly made our visit to Rome so much more pleasant. Giuseppe and Mario welcomed us warmly at reception and Giuseppe was a wealth of information ( on top of supplying a comprehensive map) in regards to visiting this beautiful city. We looked forward to the home... More

Our young family had a wonderful long weekend stay at the Hotel Golden. Guiseppe, Marco and family made us so welcome that we wouldn't want to stay anywhere else in Rome. The family room was of a very high standard and spotlessly clean putting many luxury hotels to shame. The location is ideal - a good district, quiet but with... More

Rome was our last stop on our European vacation, and Hotel Golden was a large part of why it was our favorite place! Giuseppe greeted us in the lobby upon our arrival, and the very first thing we saw in the building was the gorgeous antique Otis elevator. From the moment we met Giuseppe, we knew we made the right... More

This hotel is one of the best we've stayed in. It is family run and the owners could not be more helpful if they tried! Great room, wonderful breakfast buffet, good location (we're in our late 60's and were able to walk to the Spanish Steps, Trevi fountain, Pantheon, Gallaria Borghese, Via Veneto and Piazza Navona) in a neighbourhood with... I agree with most reviewers on here regarding the atmosphere and family feel of this charming hotel. We stayed 5 nights in the small double room and at a price which nowhere within the city could come close to. It is within 2 minutes walk of Borghese Park (5 minutes to Museum), a few minutes to Spanish steps etc. The... More

I live in Italy and am used to second-rate hotels with bad service. The Hotel Golden is a greatly enjoyed exception. I rented a Family Suite in which 5 us stayed, all for €200 a night. AMAZING in a big city anywhere and a city like Rome in particular. OK, first, the hotel is in a great location…a nice neighborhood,... More

In 2014 I have stayed in Hotel Golden four times! I just love the place, the people and the atmosphere. The city of Rome offers a lot of experiences and there is always more to see. When in Rome, there is only one place to stay: Hotel Golden. The hotel is situated in a quiet street just off Via Veneto.... More

When you stay at this hotel, you feel like you are returning to family after a long time away. The family embraces you, is generous with their time and attention, and does everything in their power to make your stay enjoyable. The hotel is reasonably priced and located in a convenient location, close to the Borghese Museum, good restaurants, and... More

My husband and I, in our seventies, on our first trip to Rome, chose the Hotel Golden because of the multitude of glowing reviews and the very fair pricing. The reviews set a high standard, and we wondered if the hotel could possibly be as good as described. After our 6 night stay in early December, we would say, resoundingly,... More

Staying in Ludovisi / Via Veneto

Neighborhood Profile
Ludovisi / Via Veneto
Thanks to Fellini and La Dolce Vita, the Ludovisi and Via Veneto neighborhood earned its reputation as a posh area where gorgeous Marcellos wooed actresses and models while bored housewives hung out in streetside cafes. The cafes are still there, and so are the cocktails, but the neighborhood is now home to five-star businesses including hotels, banks, law firms, and embassies. The area is also right next to Villa Borghese, a beautiful park for sporting and cultural adventures. If you're looking for tranquility by night, this may be the place: Ludovisi and Veneto tend to shut down after 8pm.
