Unless you want to stay in a commercial hotel, - family owned and run Hotel Golden is definitely where you want to stay in Rome. Unfortunately we only had two days there, but Giuseppe and Marco helped us map out the best way to see all of Rome. Their recommendations for restaurants were excellent. Our room (#111) was lovely and... More

Hotel Golden was the perfect place for my husband and me for our 3-day trip to Rome. We were first time visitors to Rome and while we are independent travelers, the city map with landmarks, eateries (ask about the gelato place!), and best walking routes that Marco gave us when we arrived was indispensable. Thanks to his suggestions, we were... More

From the moment you are greeted by Giuseppe you feel like you are a welcomed friend. The room was very clean and comfortable and the air conditioner works well - important given it was 38 degrees during our visit. We were especially delighted when we were given directions to a totally gluten free restaurant which was fantastic - a highlight... More

It was a very nice experience while staying at Hotel Golden. The staff is very helpful and amazing. The Hotel is located near many tourists sites and it was very clean. The breakfast is delicious as well. They made our honeymoon an experience that we will never forget.

If you are looking to feel part of a family and part of a neighborhood, if you want extraordinary personal attention and welcoming atmosphere, this is the perfect place! We stayed for 7 days and 6 nights (2 adults and one teen), and were welcomed from the moment we rang the bell. We were given tips on walks, sights, shortcuts,... More

We stayed at the Hotel Golden for a short trip in Rome and it was undoubtedly one of the best small hotels I have ever seen and has that family touch. Marco greeted us upon arrival and gave us refreshments and got us checked in as well as access to the WiFi. He then spent a good 45 minutes showing... More

We stayed at this hotel when we were at Rome during our Euro Trip. I really impressed by their warm and hospitabillity before, during and after our stay. Because we had tight budget so we choose the small room. The room was amazing with very nice interior and provide all that we need (air con, water heater, free wifi, etc).... More

We stayed 2 nights in June, 2015 after departing a cruise. We chose this family owned boutique hotel after researching online reviews and hotel locations near where we wanted to be. Hotel Golden had plenty of good reviews and we were not disappointed! The Loria family goes above and beyond to accommodate their guests with their friendly personalized service, offering... More

I booked this boutique hotel thinking I always have had great luck using tripadvisor. We could not stay all of our days at this hotel so we moved to hotel Alexandra down the street. Much better. don't really understand how they are in the top 10??

Staying in Ludovisi / Via Veneto

Neighborhood Profile
Ludovisi / Via Veneto
Thanks to Fellini and La Dolce Vita, the Ludovisi and Via Veneto neighborhood earned its reputation as a posh area where gorgeous Marcellos wooed actresses and models while bored housewives hung out in streetside cafes. The cafes are still there, and so are the cocktails, but the neighborhood is now home to five-star businesses including hotels, banks, law firms, and embassies. The area is also right next to Villa Borghese, a beautiful park for sporting and cultural adventures. If you're looking for tranquility by night, this may be the place: Ludovisi and Veneto tend to shut down after 8pm.
