Had a great stay at this family operated hotel. Guisseppe went out of his way to help us with everything. We received a room upgrade on arrival. He was extremely helpful with restaurant suggestions/reservations, arranging airport transportation (which worked out beautifully), and route mapping. Breakfast was lovely. Hotel was spotless. Enjoyed the neighborhood and felt safe. We were very comfortable... More

Had a wonderful stay at this lovely little hotel. The hotel is in a great area and the price is very affordable. We only had one day in Rome so we knew we had a busy day ahead, Guiseppe helped us plan out a route on the map they provide so that we could see as much as possible. We... More

A wonderful stay in the Hotel Golden, service was excellent, room extremely comfortable, hotel location is superb. The family Loria couldn't have been nicer and made the stay so enjoyable. I have no hesitation in recommending the Hotel Golden if visiting Rome, I will definitely be back.

Only negatives are the smallness of the room that we had and an elderly TV that needed skill to switch on, though it did have Sky. Positives are everything other people have said. A lovely hotel set within an apartment block in a very pleasant area. The family who run it are fantastic and so helpful, and the home made... More

Stayed at Hotel Golden in September 2014.It's a tiny hotel more like a B and B as others have described. It is a perfect base for reaching all the sights of Rome. Most if not all major tourist attractions are reachable on foot, and you will have very sore feet exploring all Rome has to offer. Giuseppe has invaluable knowledge and imparts... More

My girlfriend and I visited this gem in Rome for 3 nights. I can now understand why this place ranks so high. We had the most unbelievable experience at Golden! The owners are so warm and terrific! Made us feel like we were staying with our family in another country! I would recommend this place to anyone and can't wait... More

Stayed at Hotel Golden for a couple of nights in November 2014. I must say that this family owned hotel surely made my boyfriend and I feel so welcomed! This was our first International trip to Rome, and had such a memorable and awesome experience! Giuseppe was at the front desk when we arrived and was great. He patiently showed... More

The title says it all, friendly atmosphere and family operated, Giuseppe (fluent in English) is always willing to help and is full of advice, pointing out places where the locals go bypassing tourist spots. Hotel is well located in the center of the city near Villa Borghese and within walking distance to most places of interest. Good restaurants and car... More

Staying in Ludovisi / Via Veneto

Neighborhood Profile
Ludovisi / Via Veneto
Thanks to Fellini and La Dolce Vita, the Ludovisi and Via Veneto neighborhood earned its reputation as a posh area where gorgeous Marcellos wooed actresses and models while bored housewives hung out in streetside cafes. The cafes are still there, and so are the cocktails, but the neighborhood is now home to five-star businesses including hotels, banks, law firms, and embassies. The area is also right next to Villa Borghese, a beautiful park for sporting and cultural adventures. If you're looking for tranquility by night, this may be the place: Ludovisi and Veneto tend to shut down after 8pm.
