Location was sensational - so close to the Colosseum, bus routes and nice restaurants, and yet so very quiet. Vincent and Barbara are super-friendly and helpful, lovely people. Our room was great for what we needed, the bed was very comfortable and everything was nice and clean. Appreciated the cold drinks in our fridge on arrival after a long morning.... More

This place is 5 minutes walking to the Colosseum and around the corner from some great places to eat. The metro station is across from the Colosseum. The rooms were clean and comfortable. The beds are awesome, within 5 minutes I was knocked out. Wifi is fast enough for most people. I bought my travel router and used their ethernet... More

Amazing location, a couple of minutes walk to the Colosseum, restaurants and bars. The reason why I put 5/5 is because the staff are so helpful and treat you like family. My family loved zia Barbara. Very helpful with what to do and where to go. There is a grocery store around the corner (pretty much behind the hotel on... More

The location is less than 5 min from the colosseum and a 2 min walk to the nearest bus stop. The hosts are their to help and will assist you with anything from restaurant recommendations to details of how to navigate the Rome transportation system. It's like having your own personal guide service. They are not intrusive at all, so... More

Stayed at the Arena Guest House very recently with a friend. It is a very clean and tidy house & in a great location. Only 5 minutes walk to the Colosseum and metro station. The area around the guest house was quiet and we felt safe. Our hosts Vincent & Barbara were so friendly. I felt like I was staying... More

The Arena House is the perfect location for exploring Ancient Rome. We stayed there for two nights in September, 2014. Arena House is extremely close to the Colosseum and the Forum, and is also within walking distance of the Archbasilica St. John Lateran, the main cathedral of the city of Rome, and Basilica San Clemente, where you can view a... Our second time with Vincent and his wife, but with our 3 month baby this time. First time location, price, service the whole package was repeated 10 fold from the owners remembering us from our first visit and making us feel like we were family! The rooms are NOT small on the contoury Mrs Hilton diamond club or anyone else... More

Vincent and Barbara are very friendly and helpful. Vincent was very responsive to my email inquiries after I made a reservation. Upon arrival, Barbara gave us many instructions and tips including where to find free restrooms, good restaurants, bus routes, etc. The free breakfast at the next door hotel was decent, a free juice, coffee, bread, and another pastry for... Neighborhood Profile
Monti
Monti is Rome’s rebel yell. This neighborhood just west of Termini train station mixes grit with fun as it continues to fight for its reputation as a magnet for the artsy, alternative, and hipster. Every season, quirky boutiques and food spots sprout up on its cobblestone streets. The neighborhood supports unique and homegrown businesses that cater to its longtime residents as well as hipsters on the hunt. Hang out at Piazza della Madonna dei Monti anytime after lunch and you'll always find something going on.
