This was our first Rome visit and we booked the Domus on the advice of a neighbour. On arrival by train at Termini it was easy to find Via Cavour and a short and easy walk downhill brought us to the Domus. The place is spotless, the room was very adequate for our needs apart from the absence of a... More

My family, friends, and I have used Domus Nova Bethlem since part of the Suore Oblate del Bambino Gesù Convent was converted into an hotel in 1999. Then it was €100 per night in the off season, including a substantial buffet breakfast. Last week during high season it was €110 -- both dates a bargain in Rome. The “hotel” is... More

This was a beautiful hotel - not to mention spotlessly clean. The staff was courteous, the nuns weren't what you might think nuns are (stuffy, boring, etc.), and the rooms are high quality. The beds are comfortable enough, although I wish they were a bit softer. The continental breakfast is one of the biggest I've ever seen in a hotel... More

Stayed here on my first trip to Rome. Had a tough time trying to find a place in the historic center of Rome without going broke. Domus Nova Bethlem was perfect. Room was extraordinarily clean! High ceilings, marble floors, basic bed (a little hard) with bedside desk, flat screen TV on the wall, chaise and a full sized wardrobe. The... More

After reading reviews on how variable many of the hotel rooms in Rome can be, I was terrified to book anything. So, I decided to look into convents and monasteries. From other reviews on DNB, I thought this would be a safe bet on clean, safe lodging. It was. DNB wasn't the fanciest place in which I've stayed (I usually... More

This hotel is part of a convent so you'll probably see nuns wandering about, but it is a clean and comfortable place to stay. Its close to Santa Maria Maggiorre on Via Cavour, and easily accesible from cavour metro stop and a short walk from the main train station, as well as having a bus stop just outside that crosses... In September 2004, my husband and I paid 100 euro per night. The room was VERY clean, it had AC, a private bathroom with shower, free breakfast, TV, and was reasonably quiet. It's within walking distance of the Termini (Rome's main train station), very convenient location. Curfew was 1:00 a.m., which was no problem. The only issue I had was... More
