As part of a group holiday to Rome, this hotel was booked for us in advance. we were expecting a triple or family room, to accommodate the three of us that were sharing a room... instead we got a dark, small room (clearly a small room even with one bed in there) and they had put an extra bed in... I stayed in this hotel with college for 2 nights with breakfast included. The reviews had made me unsure about the hotel but it was decent overall. The rooms were clean and of an okay size, as was the bathroom. The decor isn't great but the hotel is fine if you're only really using it as somewhere to sleep. Location... More

In March of this year I went on a college trip to Rome, after looking at the reviews me and my friends were worried about what this hotel, but after about 12 hours of traveling arriving at this hotel was a pleasant surprise! Our room (which I shared with my two best friends)was pretty big, with a large wet room,... More

I agree with reviewers who stated that this hotel is definitely not the best hotel you could stay in Rome. There is not much good to point out beside the very nice location (withing walking distance to Termini metro station). The breakfast was really poor.

Having read the review of this hotel I was really worried as the leader of a trip comprising of 23 sixth formers. However, when I arrived I found that any concern was entirely misplaced. This hotel is entirely fit for purpose. The rooms are large, clean and comfortable and have everything you need. The staff are friendly and speak really... More

I travelled to hotel Noto for three nights as part of a 100 teenage girl school trip to Rome. We found the hotel to be basic, it was fairly quiet, in a good area (we walked from the hotel everyday to see sights such as the colosseum, Vatican and Trevi fountain) and the staff were polite and spoke good english.... I sThe room was soo cold, the air conditioning was working all the time and it was hard to heat up to 23c. I do not understand how this hotel has 4 stars. The biggest problem for me is that there was no WIFI, not even in the hall or for pay. Room was very old, the walls, the lamps,... More

We spent in Noto 3 nights from 5oct to 8oct in 2014. Amusing plate at entry where two asterisks (hotel's range 4 ****) were polished by somebody :)) I suggest 2 ** quality is correct estimate for this accommodation. Positive: good central location near railway station Termini, Villa Borghese, Republic square. Quiet area untill early morning when chineas open their... More

Having just returned from a 3 night stay with a party of 31 this hotel was fine. The staff were helpful when we had issues like students locking the key in room or jamming the safe. The breakfast was fine for us all with a wide choice. The location was very handy for both Termini/ metro as well as walking to... More

Staying in Esquilino

Neighborhood Profile
Esquilino
Old school vibe from the very beginning is the only way to describe the Esquilino neighborhood. The Esquilino takes pride in being one of the oldest areas in Rome for its key location on one of the city’s famous seven hills. From an ancient neighborhood to its modern incarnation as a multicultural hub, Esquilino always has something going on—polyglot vendors debate street artists while kids play pick-up basketball games. Look around you: this area isn’t like the historic center. Liberty architecture, large piazzas, and long boulevards mix with archaic arches, secret side alleys, and beautiful churches like Santa Maria Maggiore.
