We arrived at the Hotel Romano before check in, but they were kind enough to let us into our room early to freshen up. It is situated a stones throw from the colosseum and Palatino hill, right in the centre of historical Rome. The staff are very friendly and helpful, and all speak perfect English. The rooms are well presented... More

I spent 5 nights there with my friend, the room was nice , comfortable , cleaning service provided everyday, bathroom was big enough (usually European toilets are small) and had been cleaned everyday, towels were changed daily as well. breakfast: you will have a discount at the coffee just outside the hotel. no complaining about it. Location: Location is amazing,... More

We arrived to Hotel Romano by a car service who had a little trouble finding the hotel. However this was a good thing, it was tucked behind 3 outdoor restaurants which proved to be a salvation after walking all day. The hotel is perfectly located, a short walk to almost everything, minutes to the Colosseum. We opted to take a... More

Hotel Romano is the perfect choice for great customer service and superb location! Finding this lovely hidden gem was a wonderful surprise. Hotel Romano is extremely clean and secure. Santos and staff were so nice and very attentive to the details of what the hotel offered. They went above and beyond helping us retrieve our lost luggage at the Rome... More

Was recommended by a friend, and would definitely recommend this place. while its not 5 star, its clean and adequate. It's a 5 minute walk to the colosseum/ roman forum and the colosseo metro station. Walking distance to most of the major attractions and taking a bus to the Vatican is rather straightforward (ask the reception staff). The hotel staff... More

I stayed here for 6 nights and couldn't imagine a better location. Lots of food options right outside the front doors and within walking distance of all the main attractions. The Colosseum and Forums are just down to the corner and across the street. I also walked to Vatican City, which took about 40 minutes walking at a steady pace.... More

My daughter and I had a 4 night stay in Rome and wanted to be in a good location to see the sights. We decided on the Hotel Romano due to its location, good reviews on Tripadvisor and reasonable price. Overall, for a short stay, I think it was a good decision. However, perhaps not for longer. I can't fault... More

Beautiful hotel. Friendly staff. Hotel location was very near the Termini within easy walking distance. Only issue was street noise at night...ask for a room not facing the street in front. Room was large by European sizes and bed was comfortable.

We have just arrived home from a five-day stay in Rome and cannot recommend Hotel Romano enough. Not only is it right in the centre of, well, everything, the staff are the most friendliest and helpful that we have ever come across. The room itself was immaculate and well presented, and the staff offered to look after our belongings after... More

A small hotel with access to floors by lift. Good sized room and cleam, well presented with shower. The staff on the desk were available 24 hours and were able to help with directions, transport and anything else that we asked. Very helpful. The fact that they did not offer a breakfast was at first a concern but no, in... More

Staying in Monti

Neighborhood Profile
Monti
Monti is Rome’s rebel yell. This neighborhood just west of Termini train station mixes grit with fun as it continues to fight for its reputation as a magnet for the artsy, alternative, and hipster. Every season, quirky boutiques and food spots sprout up on its cobblestone streets. The neighborhood supports unique and homegrown businesses that cater to its longtime residents as well as hipsters on the hunt. Hang out at Piazza della Madonna dei Monti anytime after lunch and you'll always find something going on.
