We stayed at the Romano for several nights on our recent trip to Rome. We found the location to be absolutely perfect! It was literally around the corner from the Colosseum and was within walking distance of several restaurants and shops. The price of the room included morning coffee, juice and a pastry that required a ticket. You'll need to... more

My wife and I came across this place when booking our honeymoon... and it was one of the best choices we made. This hotel was GREAT! The location is perfect, directly across the street from the forum. The hotel rooms were clean, workers were nice. We stayed for a week and loved every minute of it. You will not find... more

We were in Rome for just two nights and wanted to see the main sights. The location is great for tourists as it's right around the corner from the forum and the Colloseum. Nearly everything else is within walking distance. It's not the most charming neighborhood or hotel, but very practical and a good value in this expensive city. The... more

I enjoyed this hotel. As in all of Italy, it was a noisy room. But the hotel is center to all the action! Right across from the Forum, the Coliseum was a block away, and everything else you would want to see is less than an hours walk! We would start out every day thinking it would take us hours... more

The hotel was able to accommodate our family of four in one room for a reasonable price, fitting in two single beds in addition to a double. The rooms and bathrooms are modern and clean and for a tourist, the location is great: the hotel is right across the street from the Forum and around the corner from the Colosseum.... more

Stayed at the Romano for a 1 week vacation in mid-July with my husband. Chose the hotel based on the excellent reviews on Tripadvisor, the location, and the price. Based on the reviews we were expecting a clean, basic hotel with exceptional service. I will start with the pros. Yes, the location of the hotel is very good. Around the... more

Excellent location! Directly between the Collesseum, Forum, and the Piazza Venezia. Easy to catch buses around because you're near almost all the famous landmarks in Rome. The staff is extremely helpful and kind (especially Santo!) Everyone should experience someone like Santo at least once in their lives- he made our stay! Definitely stay at the Hotel Romano if you can...book... more

Take all your valuables with you when you go out. There's no safe in the room. I'm not going to say any more. Everything the other posters say is accurate: fairly clean (some mold in shower. I reported it and was told it would be cleaned, but 3 days later, the mold was still there) some charm, pretty noisy, great... more

We followed the lead of others at Trip Advisor and stayed at the Hotel Romano for a week in June. It was everything we had been led to believe. Honest, helpful staff and a great location. The neighborhood was lively and fun - we were there during the first week of the World Cup so everyone had Italian soccer fever.... more

Stayed at Albergo Romano from June 14th - 19th. As others have said the location is great. Rooms were very clean. I believe I heard a comment from the staff that all rooms are triples, so all will have a double and single bed. The single came in handy for storing our open suitcases. Staff is very friendly and helpful.... more
