I enjoyed this hotel. As in all of Italy, it was a noisy room. But the hotel is center to all the action! The hotel was able to accommodate our family of four in one room for a reasonable price, fitting in two single beds in addition to a double. Excellent location! Directly between the Collesseum, Forum, and the Piazza Venezia. Easy to catch buses around because you're near almost all the famous landmarks in Rome. The staff is extremely helpful and kind (especially Santo!) Everyone should experience someone like Santo at least once in their lives- he made our stay! We followed the lead of others at Trip Advisor and stayed at the Hotel Romano for a week in June. It was everything we had been led to believe. Honest, helpful staff and a great location. The neighborhood was lively and fun - we were there during the first week of the World Cup so everyone had Italian soccer fever.... more

Stayed at Albergo Romano from June 14th - 19th. As others have said the location is great. Rooms were very clean. I believe I heard a comment from the staff that all rooms are triples, so all will have a double and single bed. The single came in handy for storing our open suitcases.
