Hotel Romano is a beautifully decorated hotel in a perfect location; the Colosseum, Roman Forum, Palatine Hill and Imperial Forums are all within a 5-minute walk, or less. Absolutely perfect. We stayed in room number 403 on the fourth floor: a 'deluxe' double en-suite room with a balcony. The decor was classic and romantic; perfect for a couple. The room... More

Excellent location, 2 minute walk to the coliseum and forum. Brilliant and friendly staff. Rooms very nice and tidy. Plenty of space for 3 adults sharing a room. On a side note, there is a company down the side street on the right that do tours to the coliseum, I would highly recommend this as you get to go onto... More

I can't say enough about how lovely this place is! The location is fantastic with the forum and colosseum just outside the door. It felt new and clean and well managed. We were very pleased with our room, even if the rooms are small. We highly recommend it!

Stayed here early July for four nights and loved it. It's a compact boutique hotel so don't book expecting your room or bathroom to be of American proportions. It does what it is meant to do and presents a beautiful, calm dwelling right in the heart of everything. Turn left and the Colosseum is 200 yards along the road beside... More

I stayed here with 2 friends so we were 3 in one room. The room looked like it was for a honeymoon couple. Even though that wasn't our case, we still enjoyed all of the heart motifs and the fake rose petals on the bed. My main complaint is that the bathroom has no surface area to put your things.... Easyjet cancelled flight today so left stranded! Stayed here before a long time ago and remembered it was nice so booked in and not disappointed. Lovely clean refurbished modern rooms with wifi. Just great!

Lovely little hotel in the perfect location nestled between the coliseum & the roman forum. Lovely rooms (we had the superior suite) friendly & helpful staff. Thanks for making my boyfriends 30th all the more special. We didn't use the Metro once, simply walked everywhere, all over the city & it was lovely to come back to the area of... More

We booked 2 rooms, for 6 nights each, for myself and my son and family, at Hotel Romano, on another site. We paid extra for the right to cancel the reservation as our plans were still unsure. When in fact we wanted to cancel the reservation, they refused to cancel both rooms, saying we had only paid extra for 1... More

Dear Guest, here we go again after 1 year and the 4th answer at the same situation. I'll try to explain you the situation once again. Your room was a “not refoundable” so it means that you have chosen that for a better price but it didn't allow you the refound in case of cancellation. It’s a contract that you... More

Neighborhood Profile
Monti
Monti is Rome’s rebel yell. This neighborhood just west of Termini train station mixes grit with fun as it continues to fight for its reputation as a magnet for the artsy, alternative, and hipster. Every season, quirky boutiques and food spots sprout up on its cobblestone streets. The neighborhood supports unique and homegrown businesses that cater to its longtime residents as well as hipsters on the hunt. Hang out at Piazza della Madonna dei Monti anytime after lunch and you'll always find something going on.
