We stayed in Rome for a few days in February this year. We were really pleased with the hotel, nicely decorated, quite a small room, but clash and cosy. Quite glitzy decor which I found romantic. We had a balcony from which we could see some of the forum. The location is excellent. Right next to colleseum and forum aswell... More

Good staff, cozy rooms .. But the location beats all hands down.. Take a map from the reception & you can cover all the ancient places of Rome by walking .. In case you cannot walk, bus top is 50 metres & metro stop is 200 metres from the Hotel..

The second round in Rome this trip required another hotel since there were more of us this time. So again to TripAdvisor for suggestions. Hotel Romano was the best surprise of the trip by far! When the taxi driver kept going around in circles, we got nervous, but when he finally got close enough to drop us off, we were... More

Stayed here for one night in November. It's a very nice boutique hotel in a perfect location. My room had a balcony with a view of the Imperial Forums that was just great. The room is very nice and the bathroom is as well, not very big but about what you'd expect in central Rome. Staff were very helpful, no... More

The location is great! The service was friendly and professional. the room we were in while on the slightly small side was comfortable and had a very generously sized balcony. We did get a good laugh at the elevators. While it did not bother us as we travel light and usually opt to take take the stairs. The elevators are... More

Its all about location! You can't beat the location here. Steps from the Colosseum, the Metro and so much more you are in the center of it all. The staff were awesome. They fixed an online booking snafu promptly and gave me some good suggestions for places that locals eat. I cannot say enough good things about this hotel. Clean,... More

We stayed here for one night and it was the perfect choice! After arriving from the hustle and bustle of Rome, this place was are solace. As soon as we walked through the doors we were relieved. The front desk agent was pleasant, professional, and very helpful. We had room 104 on the first floor. The room was nicely appointed... More

We stayed 5 nights at the Hotel toward the end of a long journey.Being so close to all the sights we wanted to see was a bonus. Within walking distance, we were able to see the Frida Kahlo art exhibition - the fountain of trevi (under renovation) Spanish steps etc. on the same day. Brilliant! The staff, all of them,... More

Staying in Monti

Neighborhood Profile
Monti
Monti is Rome’s rebel yell. This neighborhood just west of Termini train station mixes grit with fun as it continues to fight for its reputation as a magnet for the artsy, alternative, and hipster. Every season, quirky boutiques and food spots sprout up on its cobblestone streets. The neighborhood supports unique and homegrown businesses that cater to its longtime residents as well as hipsters on the hunt. Hang out at Piazza della Madonna dei Monti anytime after lunch and you'll always find something going on.
