I booked a single for five nights in September and was surprised with one of Romano's best rooms...a large double with a private terrace overlooking the forum. Can't ask for anything better than that. The bathroom was also large, although the shower was quite small. The whole place was spotless...so clean in fact, that the maid came through everyday and... more

This small hotel is as close to the colloseum and forum as possible. It is clean and adequately furnished for a short stay in Rome. We had a triple room consisting of a double bed and single which was perfectly adequate for three adults. The bathroom was spotless as was the bedroom and we had fresh towels daily. The ceiling... more

The Hotel was the perfect location to walk to all of the popular tourist sites. Colosseum and Forum were only a few blocks away. We saw all of the main tourist attractions and did not have to use public transportation, although it was nearby. The room was basic and very clean. It is a small property with very friendly staff.... more

Albergo Romano is a pretty sensational deal, with a fabulous location, really clean rooms, friendly staff and reasonable rates. I wanted to be close to the Colosseum, and I don't think there's a hotel closer. It's close to two metro stations and easy walking distance to the key sights in the central city. This is not a luxury hotel and... more

Stayed here at the end of my vacation in Italy. The location is absolutely perfect, the breakfast charming, the staff friendly. My only complaint would be the bathroom tiles, which were not clean. Stll, when you consider the location and the modest price of the room, I would overlook the bathroom shortcomings and I would stay here again. more

This is a small hotel, but with a great location. It's very near Forum Romanum and the Colosseum. Nice and friendly staff. I had a double room for single use, and that was very all right. But be aware that the breakfast (which is served next door), is not like we are used to in Northern Europe. No meat, eggs... more

We chose this hotel after reading reviews on Tripadvisor, where this hotel was described as a good, cheap and clean place to stay in the centre of Rome. The location was very good, a very short walk from the Foro Romano and the Colosseo. The receptionists were also helpful and friendly. The air condition was a big relief, and worked... more

We stayed at the Romano during our first night in Rome. It is a very convenient hotel to get to. Like many, we flew into Fiumacino. From there, we took the express train to Rome's Termini station. We were able to walk from Termini station to the Albergo Romano hotel in about 15 minutes. The hotel is PERFECTLY situated across... more

We stayed at Albergo Romano for 5 nights after a two week tour in Southern Italy/Sicily. The location was fabulous, just a short walk across the street to the Forum and Colliseum. The hotel is not fancy, the rooms are large, and the breakfast was typical continental style at the cafe next door. Our room was quiet and well insulated.... more

We just returned from a week stay at the Hotel Romano. The location is about 2 blocks away from the coluseum and right across the street from Imperial Roman Forum. The rates are very reasonable for this location. It is a typical average European hotel room (maybe a little larger). We had a third floor room with 2 large windows.... more
