Stated here for 3 nights with my partner, This is a great basic place to stay in the heart of Rome! 10 minute walk from the main attractions; Colosseum, Trevi fountain, Roman forum. Tiger at reception was so very nice and helpful. The rooms are spotless and the wifi is great too.

This was our first time in Rome and therefore we did some research and this hotell seemed to be at a good location and with many good reviews on tripadvisor. We payed 110 Euro a night in the beginning in November and it turned out that it was not worth it. The room was very small, but also felt cheap... More

Without a doubt, the Hotel Giardino's staff is its greatest selling point, with location and price a close second and third. Our room was modest but clean (and yes, the shower was very, very tiny), with a comfortable bed and a patio that overlooked a courtyard. It would have have been nice to have WiFi in the room, but our... More

Clean and comfortable without all the bells and whistles. Very charming hotel that was within walking distance to all the major sites! The staff was very helpful and accomodating. One caveat- the shower was very small as some of the other reviewers mentioned. I'm 5'3" 110 lbs and I felt claustrophobic in there! Also, we may have caused two blackouts... More

Giardino is a small, basic hotel located in the heart of Rome. The staff, especially Tiger, went out of their way to make our stay great, from recommendations to directions (even pulling up Google Maps), he took an interest in ensuring our time in Rome was well spent. The staff and location of Giardino were two of the main reasons... More

This little hotel has a very helpful staff (we got plenty of restaurant and sightseeing recommendations from Tiger and Mustafa), and it is located right in the central part of the historic center of Rome. Our room was cozy and clean, with en suite facilities (though it is true- the shower is tiny). If we 60+-somethings had any complaint at... More

The rooms were nice and comfortable, we had a single and a double and both were very accomodating, even had a nice little balcony overlooking the street. The staff was very helpful and nice, spoke good English as well, which helped us being first time travellers in Italy. The location was extremely convenient and the breakfast was good. Would stay... Like other reviews have noted, the location is perfect. Easy walking distance to sites, kind of in the middle of all of these: Coliseum & Forum, Pantheon (really close), Trevi Fountain, Spanish Steps. Vatican is a short, easy bus ride away. The train station is also walkable (10 minutes), but it's so easy to just take the bus (which stops... More

Staying in Monti

Neighborhood Profile
Monti is Rome’s rebel yell. This neighborhood just west of Termini train station mixes grit with fun as it continues to fight for its reputation as a magnet for the artsy, alternative, and hipster. Every season, quirky boutiques and food spots sprout up on its cobblestone streets. The neighborhood supports unique and homegrown businesses that cater to its longtime residents as well as hipsters on the hunt. Hang out at Piazza della Madonna dei Monti anytime after lunch and you'll always find something going on.
