This ideally located hotel not far from the main train station and close to the Metro couldn't be better for the money. 83€ for 3 nights was excellent value. Rooms were clean and tidy and ideal size. Warm welcomes each day and a very friendly couple running the hotel. Breakfast was ideal. Nice breads with ham and cheeses. Highly recommended... More

Room we got was very dust..couldnt stop sneezing and itchy...you rather stay next door which is one start and looks more decent. I wouldn't stay here ever again.. ;( Hosts dont speak english but are very friendly. Be ready to wake them up everytime you get out and in as the main door is looked and you have to hand... More

Dear Mr. Alfonso, we are sorry to understand that your stay, for only 1 night, in our hotel didn't satisfy you. Also, we want to inform you, that we ask to all our guests, to live in reception their room's key only because the main door is always closed and everytime you are forced to ring the bell to enter... We stayed here for 4 nights and really enjoyed it, it's nice and clean, with linen and towels changed every day, the continental breakfast is more than enough to start the day with and the location is perfectly suited for getting around the city. But what makes this hotel is the host's, you could not wish for a more friendly... More

Having read previous reviews, I was aware that the couple who run this hotel didn't speak any English and sure enough we found exactly that, but for anyone considering this Hotel, please don't let that put you off. When we arrived we were greeted by the husband, who was extremely charming and after completing the registration, he took a tourist... More

We have stayed in the hotel for 3 nights. The room was clean and bed has been changed every day. Lovely couple and very helpful. Although, both of them not speaking English. The first day we arrived he gave us a rome map and marking what we should visit and what route to walk. The hotel itself is close to... More

We spent a total of 11 nights in Rome and were looking for a nice, inexpensive place to stay. That's exactly what we found at Hotel Lussemburgo! Our room was located on the top floor of the hotel - there's no elevator so climbing the stairs every night was a bit of a workout, but we badly needed it after... More

For students and low budget travelers that only seek a place to sleep it is ok. The rooms are tiny and there is o sense of esthetics in the hotel. However it does cover your basic needs and the stuff is kind. I might sound strict but I was satisfied with my stay there.

Dear Mr. Mazsaremo, we are sorry that your stay in our hotel didn't satisfy you but if you require microwave and refrigerator why have you booked in a hotel if you wanted an apartment? Best regards, Massimiliano Casti More

Hotel Lussemburgo is a small hotel with wonderful owners. Lucia and Carlo are incredible friendly and warm-hearted!! I stayed in a single room, which was simple but very clean. Unfortunately I stayed just for one night there, but would without doubt stay there again, for some more nights. Grazie mille, Lucia & Carlo!! :)

Staying in Esquilino

Neighborhood Profile
Esquilino
Old school vibe from the very beginning is the only way to describe the Esquilino neighborhood. The Esquilino takes pride in being one of the oldest areas in Rome for its key location on one of the city’s famous seven hills. From an ancient neighborhood to its modern incarnation as a multicultural hub, Esquilino always has something going on—polyglot vendors debate street artists while kids play pick-up basketball games. Look around you: this area isn’t like the historic center. Liberty architecture, large piazzas, and long boulevards mix with archaic arches, secret side alleys, and beautiful churches like Santa Maria Maggiore.
