Visited Dei Mille at the end of May for 3 nights, paying 100 euros a night for a superior double room. I would definitely recommend a superior room for the price we paid it was excellent. Clean, modern with amazing shower, tv, fridge and safe. The breakfast at the hotel was simple but fine, we were very happy with it... More

If you need to arrive by train at Roma Termini Station or leave early this hotel is great as it is only a 3 minutes walk to the station. The rooms are clean but average. The breakfast is also average. The main tourist attractions in Rome are atleast 15 minutes walk away. We had a morning train to catch with... More

Price wise it is an affordable hotel if you are on a budget, and for travelers who want to explore the city is a good choice as it is located so close to the main station of Rome, Termini (3minutes walking). I traveled with friends, and we saw a lot of young people in the hotel but a bit noisy... More

The hotel is perfectly located close to the Termini station so its very central but still on a quiet side street. The room itself was quite small but not tiny. On the positive side the bed was a good sized double bed with a nice mattress but the pillows were a bit flat. Reception staff were happy to provide us... More

First impression was good as staff were expecting me and spoke good English. Maid helpfully showed me to the lift. When I got to my room things went downhill. There was not enough room to swing a cat and it is the smallest room I have ever slept in. There was no room to put my case apart from to... More

I stayed at the Hotel Dei Mille for only one night as I was taking the bus to Fiumicino the next morning. For the 40 euros i paid it was very good value, my single room was clean and basic, at first I thought there was no en-suite only a shower in the room, but the bathroom was through a... More

The location near Termini station is perfect for the different means of transport. The breakfast is mediocre. No free internet. If you can, pick up a room on the 1st floor and avoid the 3rd (no A/C, toilet in the shower...). For almost the same price, there is a huge difference.

We had a passport stolen on the way to the airport and had to find emergency accommodation. The guy on the desk insisted on cash and let us in on the strength of us having one passport between us. The room was spacious, clean and would have been comfortable if the air conditioning had worked. It was VERY hot. Shower... More

Room was a bit old but beautiful, big bed. Everything fine in the room besides the towel, those were not soft enough. Internet costs 2€ per hour or 10€ for 24 hours. Sounds bad but they gave me a discount so it was ok. The breakfast... Bread and cheese were ok, Joghurt and Cerealy also. BUT: Coffee and Juice are... More

A basic hotel, adjacent to the Main train station. Good for solo travellers/backpackers where it does provide good value for money. One staff member was very helpful, another was quite rude. Room was dated, had to pay for slow Wi-fi ($2 for an hour from memory). There was a laundry a couple of blocks away, and a smattering of reasonable hotels... More

Staying in Esquilino

Neighborhood Profile
Esquilino
Old school vibe from the very beginning is the only way to describe the Esquilino neighborhood. The Esquilino takes pride in being one of the oldest areas in Rome for its key location on one of the city’s famous seven hills. From an ancient neighborhood to its modern incarnation as a multicultural hub, Esquilino always has something going on—polyglot vendors debate street artists while kids play pick-up basketball games. Look around you: this area isn’t like the historic center. Liberty architecture, large piazzas, and long boulevards mix with archaic arches, secret side alleys, and beautiful churches like Santa Maria Maggiore.
