Location of this small hotel is good with walking distance from Termini train station and main attractives. Very friendly staff. Rooms are modest, but air condidtion was working well, also rooms were silent.

i was looking for a room for a family of 4 that was convenient to the train station. This was a great choice. Close, clean, decent breakfast, helpful staff, nice sized room and bathroom. We stayed here twice during the trip and both were great. only a 2-star so don't expect a 4-star but the price is right.

I have stayed in this hotel a couple times during the last couple years. It is convenient for families since other hotels for more than 3 people in Rome are very expensive. However, if money is not an issue for you, I would suggest to avoid it: even though the rooms and the breakfast (pastries, cereal, juice, milk and coffee)... More

Great location and value in center of Rome, about 800 meters from Termini station. We stayed 4 nights, Sept 25- 29, 2013 and found it an excellent location to explore Rome on foot. Ascot is near all major sights and best way to enjoy Rome is by walking. Vatican is about 1 hour, via the Spanish steps, Piazza del Popolo,... More

Stayed here Oct 8-11. 5 minute walk from Roma Termini rail station. Simple clean rooms at good price. Nothing fancy but we were not expecting much. Most of staff was pleasant. Metro 10 min walk. Relatively quiet except for evening - our room overlooked street with restaurant. However by 12 am all quiet.

The hotel is only two stars, so we didn't expect much. The beds were a little harder that what we're used to, and there was no duvet, only a thin sheet for covers. There were however blankets in the closet, which we needed because it did get quite cold at night. The breakfast was tasty, but a bit sweet and... More

Rome at the end of December is beautiful, cold and windy; but the good thing is that it is not overrun with tourists and touts. Due to a sudden change of travel plans we had to take a train from Pisa to Rome for an overnight stay, the Hotel-Finder kiosk at Rome's Central Station was fantastic and recommended the Hotel... I am a pretty fussy traveler and do not usually stay in budget hotels, but Rome being Rome, hotels are expensive and since I was travelling by myself, did not expect to spend a lot of time at the hotel, I did not want to pay a lot. Plus, since I was arriving late, I wanted a convenient location next... More

A decent 2* hotel, only 400m from Station Termini, located on 1st and 2nd floor. To enter the hotel, you need to press the button and tell the receptionist that you're a guest of the hotel. You can use the stairs or the nice vintage elevator to go to the 2nd floor, where you'll find the reception. Adjoining there's a... More

Staying in Esquilino

Neighborhood Profile
Old school vibe from the very beginning is the only way to describe the Esquilino neighborhood. The Esquilino takes pride in being one of the oldest areas in Rome for its key location on one of the city’s famous seven hills. From an ancient neighborhood to its modern incarnation as a multicultural hub, Esquilino always has something going on—polyglot vendors debate street artists while kids play pick-up basketball games. Look around you: this area isn’t like the historic center. Liberty architecture, large piazzas, and long boulevards mix with archaic arches, secret side alleys, and beautiful churches like Santa Maria Maggiore.
