A very nice and tipical italian hotel! 2 floors of a residential building. Very clean! Spacious bathroom with bath-tub and shower and bidet. Very good location - a bus stop in front of the hotel, 7-8 min. walking to Piazza della Republica (with U-Station) and the same distance to Termini Station (Central Railway Station). Helpful staff, basic breakfast - coffee,... more

A clean room (137). Bathroom big enough (shower in bathtub). Close to two metro stations. We had the room above the entrance (first floor). The windows were well isolated (2 windows), so we could not hear the market. The first morning was a surprise: walking out the door and suddenly see a market. Inside you could hear everything. We didn't... more

2* 5 mins walk from Termini, 20 m down Via Montebello from Via Volturno. Stairs or lift 2 floors up to reception. Vicinity to Volturno gave noisy nights if window open. Definitely not a soft bed, resulted in partly sleepless nights. Room 229 was clean (did not check top of clothes locker) with a shelf, a double bed, a small... more

The Ascot is short, convenient 5 minute walk from Rome's Central Termini Railstation. The Ascot is located in a corner building which can generate some street noise should you be located in a street facing room. There is an elevator in the building and someone is at the reception desk 24/7. I booked a double room (#25) for single use... more

I stayed in hotel Ascot last august (2006). At first glance, the hotel and the room looked nice but I started having some problems after that. First, i asked for a room with ac, but when I arrived the guy at the front desk didn't give me the remote control for it. I had to go and asked specially for... more

Stayed for one night on the 4th August. Were only in Rome for one night as headed off to Tuscany following day and only planned to be in the hotel for the 7 hours during which we would be sleeping. Hence we went for the mid-lower end of the market. Paid €80 through venere after using the 4% discount code... more

Very conveniently located by Termini Station, ideal for exploring Rome on foot and by public transport. Rooms are small, but clean and with very efficient air conditioning - a godsend in baking hot July weather. A cheerful little breakfast room with a pleasant continental breakfast and great coffee. Friendly staff. A character point to note about this hotel. It's sited... more

This hotel is in a good locaiton and close walking distance to major sites. However, the room was small and the price too much for what was offered. Also, there were problems with the phone in the room - we couldn't get it to work properly, even after contacting reception - and they recommended a very bad touristy restaurant to... more
