Rooms are small and no great views but for us this is not essential as we got up and went out every morning and did not return until night time. If your heading to Rome and want a hotel with a reasonable price and great location to travel to all the touristy spots this is perfect! Termini is a couple... More

Me and my bf went there a couple of days ago and stayed for 3 nights. We booked it at hostel.com and somehow I thought it was a hostel at first. I was suprised by how good the standard was and we got the room + private bathroom for a very fair price. The location is obviously kind of perfect,... More

Spent one night here while waiting for a connecting flight. Pros: The hotel is close to Termini which helps, but the street out the front doesn't feel particularly safe. Bathroom was fairly modern, shower had hot water which was great. Room served breakfast (though we left before breakfast) Cons: Stairs only - If you have a 20kg suitcase, I hope... More

Hotel Meridiana is nice and small, not big and fancy, but just what you need for a weeks stay in Florence. this small hotel was grate, the staff spoke good enough English to be able to communicate with us and help us arrange and find nice restaurants around the area. we had no problems with this hotel and most of... The location of the hotel is quite good given it's some 5 minutes walk from the Termini train station and 3-4 minutes from the subway. The rooms are pretty small, you need to get a room towards the street to get decent gps signal. The hotel entrance is basically at the first floor and.... closed at night, witch is kind... More

Well the first thing to point out was this hotel was extremely cheap, with that in mind my review needs to be taken in context. The Good - reasonable location, 20 mins walk from the Trevi and Pantheon, about 40 mins to the Vatican. Termini is 7/8 mins away so no need to pay the expensive taxi fees to/from airport.... More

It is very near to termini. You do not have to walk too much to the hotel. It is near to the center and public transportation. There is a daily market near the hotel where you can find cheap bags, fruit etc also there is supermarket nearby. The hotel staff is friendly, helpful and polite. Our room was one of... More

We stayed here for 4 nights in late September. Whilst the location is great for getting the the main train station(Termini) and therefore transport links and it is walking distance to most attractions in Rome our stay was not the best. The rooms were clean however the bathroom was in a poor state. It was Clean but the shower doors... More

A fair two-star hotel. I would consider the location the best quality, very near Termini (the main train terminal in the city) and thus not far from a majority of the must-see places in Rome. The service is not bad, although you might be bothered by some noise during the day and early evenings sometimes. The room itself is quite... More

I stayed in this hotel for 10 days with my sister while she was looking for the apartment to move in. The location is great, it is very near to the central station and if you are visiting Rome as a tourist it is good that you can reach everything very easy from this hotel (by metro or just walking).... Staying in Esquilino

Neighborhood Profile
Esquilino
Old school vibe from the very beginning is the only way to describe the Esquilino neighborhood. The Esquilino takes pride in being one of the oldest areas in Rome for its key location on one of the city’s famous seven hills. From an ancient neighborhood to its modern incarnation as a multicultural hub, Esquilino always has something going on—polyglot vendors debate street artists while kids play pick-up basketball games. Look around you: this area isn’t like the historic center. Liberty architecture, large piazzas, and long boulevards mix with archaic arches, secret side alleys, and beautiful churches like Santa Maria Maggiore.
