I read the reviews for Hotel Urbis and thought people who wrote them were thin skinned. I thought it did not sound so bad. After all, I am from a third world country and Americans are a little spoiled, right? Wrong! This hotel was the most horrible experience we had. First, the furniture's upholstery was ripped in many places; the... more

We booked this hotel through a website that included air fare and hotel. The slogan of the hotel is: "Hotel Urbis... your friendly hotel in Rome". Honestly, that´s a lie!. The recepcionists are always grumpy and they were actualy never attentive with us. The room was okay. The sheets were clean, but we did not have a bathroom inside our... more

We arrived at the Hotel Urbis, to find that our room had been given to someone else, eventhough we saw our name on the book. So we were told we had to upgrade to another room and pay €20 extra per night. I questioned this with the receptionist as it wasn't my fault. His reply was ''What choice do you... more

This hotel is terrible with everything especially their poor services and attitude! I’ve reserved this hotel because they can provide 3 beds in one room for my family. But the old man there can’t provide any good services and cannot speak good English when we were trying to ask for hot water! My parent can’t speak English and one day,... more

I have stayed at this hotel previously on a trip to Rome- My first experiences of this hotel were very good. Unfortunately on my return this year in January for three nights- we booked a double with shared bathroom for 45 euros per night- things took a turn for the worse on our stay I was part of a six... more

What you need to remember here is this is a budget hotel, having read some other reviews they don't seem to have taken this into account as at the end of the day you get what you pay for... We stayed here for 3 nights in a triple room costing us just £22 a night each. For this we got... more

We found the hotel easy close to Termini. The house looked old and not in so good conditions. Our room was clean but small, no shower and toilet (but in the corridor!). No breakfast but free internet. The staff was friendly and serviceminded. The price for this doubleroom was EUR 95 in the end of october. That I think is... more

I visited this hotel back in May while I was on a "study abroad" trip through my University with a class of 25 other students. We all had apartments in Firenze, but were taking a weekend trip to Rome. All of us decided we wanted to spend some extra time there, so we were asked to book our own hotel... more

I stayed at the Hotel Urbis in May 2006, we stayed for 2 nights, and could not find fault at all with the hotel. It is a budget property, and that is exactly what you are paying for. Very close to Termini, you can see the main entrance as soon as you walk out the front door. The bus service... more

I think the hotel is not recommended for family with children. I stayed in the hotel and my child bedwets as she has a health problem and due to the cold room. The remark given by the old man was very nasty. Had I not paid in full for the stay I would have looked for another hotel. This is... more
