This charming little hotel has it all with really helpful, friendly staff and a great location. It is perfectly placed on Via Cavour for a very short stroll to The Imperial Forum and The Colosseum, which is quite literally a 5 minutes walk away. The rooms are quite small, particularly the bathroom in room 109 but are more than adequate with... More

Stayed her for a short break (Jan. 20th - 23rd). The hotel is in a great location from all the main tourist attractions and is surrounded by shops and restaurants. The staff were incredibly helpful and were all very accommodating, especially when we were late checking out in the morning. Breakfast had a good selection to choose from and was... More

Very clean and charming hotel near the colosseum. The staff were amazing and incredibly accommodating. Breakfast starts at 7:30 am and offers a variety of bread, cheeses and ham. My only concern was that their wifi signal couldn't reach our room. Other than that, we had a great experience here. Highly recommended!

Found this hotel on lastminute.com and chose it due to location and price. Two metro stations within a 5 minute walk of hotel. Colloseum, Roman Forum and Palatine Hill also within a 5 minute walk. Many small shops, cafés and restaurants all within walking distance. Rooms small like everywhere but comfy enough for the two of us. We had a... More

Hotel old and tired but spotless. Staff very friendly and English speaking. Breakfast good and facilitated by a lovely lady. So well placed for all sightseeing. Lot's of choices for bars and restaurants all within walking distance. For smokers can hang out of windows ! Pavements jet washed every morning to cleanse of cigarette! ( smoking prolific in Rome!) Hotel Solis has a great location on Via Cavour within walking distance of many sights in Rome, but the hotel itself leaves much to be desired. We booked a "superior family room" and they stuffed the four of us into a tiny room which would have been small for a single. It was nothing like the rooms described and pictured... More

Very comfortable hotel in a wonderful location, 300m from Colosseum and Forum, easy walk to several train and metro stations. Rooms were good, a little dated but clean. Wifi a bit patchy - we had two rooms on same floor, just down corridor from each other. One room had excellent wifi and the other had no signal at all, Breakfasts... More

Great location and cool old hotel. Colosseum is about 3 blocks away. All kinds of restaurants nearby, including Gelato and markets. Gionni at the front desk was extremely helpful and went above and beyond what was required of him. Also the lady that runs the breakfast (short blonde hair) was also very nice and courteous. Sorry I didn't get her... More

As others have all said, the location of this hotel is its attraction. We stayed here for two nights pre-cruise, and it is conveniently located for easy access from and to Termini station and also to most attractions in Rome eg. Colosseum, Forum (both only steps away from hotel,) Via del Corso, Trevi fountain etc. If you are flying into... More

Every season, quirky boutiques and food spots sprout up on its cobblestone streets. The neighborhood supports unique and homegrown businesses that cater to its longtime residents as well as hipsters on the hunt.
