My friends and I spent a weekend in Rome. We booked a quad room and price was convenient: 117€(including breakfast) x2 nights. It wasn't hard to find it: literally 2 walking min from Termini station! 10 walking min from Colosseum and forum, 10 min from Trevi... The hotel is old style fashioned (the building itself is historical), room was clean as... More

This hotel was just so old dated, everything from past century makes it look scary and dirty even though it was clean. The bathroom is so small that is makes hard to shower. At least it has elevator n bathroom inside the room. The location is actually the best part. You walk a few blocks from Termini to get there.... More

I would not want to come here ever again. that's what you get with that price in rome. but i would rather to go further to get more cleaner room. location wise, near to termini, near to some maria magiore ... at night bit 'scary' to walk to the hotel from termini. the bed dusty and alot of stains, the... It only takes about 5mins walk from the termini to the hotel. Check-in all went well. We arrived Rome at 12pm on Mon, 9th June. However, when we went into our room, we can't switch on the air-con, we can only switch on the ceiling fan! To switch on the air-con, we have to rent the remote for Euro10 a... More

What you get at this hotel is not nearly what you probably would expect. The rooms are in terrible condition and your stomach will turn when paying full price for this. The pictures below will illustrate my point.

We are not very fussy of the rooms condition. We had to pay 10 € per day for use of ac in the room. The tv had no reception for two days and no one came to chk on it. The staffs had very bad attitude towards we the hotel guest. I would strongly suggest not to stay in this... More

A hopelessly overpriced hotel that lies without shame on their website and on booking sites. This is absolutely not recommendable. I paid 125? for a triple room a night with mold on the celing, broken refrigiator, broken elevator, broken tiles, lousy cleaning and so on. Do not go there!

Check your hotel room before you stay anywhere! That is what I learned from this hotel. We paid for the night and then went to our room and saw it was not that great. We asked for a refund right away and they said no. It was our last night so we sucked it up. The toilet was strange because... More

Lets see - where should i start?? A complete dump, absolutely disgusting, so awful that I can safely say the worst hotel i have ever been in....nothing like the pictures on the booking site, hotel site, or brochure... completely false advertising..... We had booked 2 rooms ( for late check-in), upon arrival at the hotel we were completely speechless when... More

We left after 20 minutes but still had to pay €64. Decided that it was worth it just to get away. The room was damp, stank of stale urine and the walls were covered in thick black mildew. The toilet was in the shower. When we complained and asked for another room we were told that we could move the... More

Staying in Esquilino

Neighborhood Profile
Esquilino
Old school vibe from the very beginning is the only way to describe the Esquilino neighborhood. The Esquilino takes pride in being one of the oldest areas in Rome for its key location on one of the city’s famous seven hills. From an ancient neighborhood to its modern incarnation as a multicultural hub, Esquilino always has something going on—polyglot vendors debate street artists while kids play pick-up basketball games. Look around you: this area isn’t like the historic center. Liberty architecture, large piazzas, and long boulevards mix with archaic arches, secret side alleys, and beautiful churches like Santa Maria Maggiore.
