Check your hotel room before you stay anywhere! That is what I learned from this hotel. We paid for the night and then went to our room and saw it was not that great. We asked for a refund right away and they said no. It was our last night so we sucked it up. The toilet was strange because... More

Lets see - where should i start?? A complete dump, absolutely disgusting, so awful that I can safely say the worst hotel i have ever been in....nothing like the pictures on the booking site, hotel site, or brochure... completely false advertising..... We had booked 2 rooms ( for late check-in), upon arrival at the hotel we were completely speechless when... More

We left after 20 minutes but still had to pay €64. Decided that it was worth it just to get away. The room was damp, stank of stale urine and the walls were covered in thick black mildew. The toilet was in the shower. When we complained and asked for another room we were told that we could move the... More

the rooms are average , the bathroom was not so tiny the rooms of the hotel is in a building outside the reception the location is very good next to termini station , it was cheap for 45euro/pernight in rome so maybe it's price is good for it's value , the breakfast is all of sweet , croissant (delicious)honey butter(so... We stayed in the Hotel Altavilla because it was close to the train station. The room was clean but bare bones. It looked nothing like the brochure. The staff was very helpful and breakfast was just fine.

I stayed here with my sister and it was absolutely awful. Nothing like they described it online. Our sheets had blood stains they never turned down out beds. The room was dirty. No wifi only in the lobby. I would not recommend this to anyone!

Didn't stay....but a heads up. We cancelled our booking on finding out that they want extra for the Air conditioning. The surcharge was not mentioned on Laterooms.com, but after reading a review I contacted the hotel. Indeed they replied stating 10 euros per night (others have said 15 euros per night). We've therefore found somewhere else, as the Altavilla is... More

This 'hotel' bears absolutely no resemblance to the description on their website - it is more like a hostel. So much for the dark wood and marble splendour with fridges and air-con in the rooms; grim stained walls, cheap battered furniture, one lift shared by two hotels (I kid you not!) and the most ineffective ceiling fans and bathrooms imaginable.... This hotel is good value for money and central to a lot of the tourists sites which are within walking distance. For the sites further afield, the train and bus station are withing 10 minutes walk. Staff very helpful and friendly. Rooms comfortable and have fan in, but air con is at extra cost of 15 Euro per night.

The Altavilla hotel was the absolute worst Hotel that I have ever experienced anywhere in the world. The issues we had with them are as follows; (1) My wife and I stayed there a week. They never changed the sheets the whole time we were there. They only made up the bed once. (2) We had to ask the front... More
