First, if you're looking for this place, there's only a sign on the wall next to the entrance. If you're walking from the train station, the hotel is on the right side. The entrance is secured with an iron gate. You need to press the buzzer with the hotel name on it and they will buzz you in. The staff... More

Hotel is located not far from a metro stop and near the Forum/Coliseum. Was shocked to find it- iron gate, need to buzz in, then tiny elevator to 2F to register. My room was on 6F, walk-up from fifth floor. No breakfast. No real lobby. Small room, but did have a desk and free WiFi. They do arrange a breakfast... More

This hotel is centrally located and a5 minute walk to the Coliseum and Roman Forum. Great value for money and very friendly staff. The rooms are spacious and very clean. There is free coffee as you want it too. This isn't luxury but for a 2 star you can't get much better

Unique, quaint accommodation close to major attractions in the very heart of Rome. Security is great and staff make you very welcome. There are tea making facilities, safe, fridge and your own bathroom, we even had bottled water provided..You could buy a breakfast voucher for a cafe where the locals ate - for 3.5Euros, cooked on site.

We booked this hotel for 4 nights through Hotel.com. It's about a 10 minute walk from the central station (Termini) and it's on one of the main arteries of Rome. Hotel Centro Cavour is a 2 minute walk from Metro Cavour, 5 minute walk from the Coliseum and there's tons of amazing restaurants in the streets behind it! The staff... More

Metro stop on the block, very close to Terminii, easy walking to shopping, restaurants, colosseum, Forum, etc. Friendly neighborhood and generally not noisy. Lovely small piazzas just off of Via Cavour. Service from Claudia, Doro, and Giorgio very friendly, attentive and knowledgeable. Safes and refrigerators very handy

Rated a 2 star, but should be a 2.5-3 based on overall experience. Newlr renovated rooms were clean, functional. If you get a 6th floor room be prepared to walk up 20 stairs to get from the th floor to the 6th. Be sure to mention you have difficulty with stairs when booking. The desk staff, located on the second... More

This little gem hotel is tucked away in the main centre of town 50 m from the collosium in Rome. It was within walking distance to the Trevi fountain ( don't bother it is closed for maintainance) and the panthanon( a must see) It has new owners and the staff (Domu) couldn't have been more helpful. 3 of us shared... I stayed at this hotel in March and I cannot express how great he location was! The hotel was a 5 min walk from the Coliseum and to the Roman Forum. You could actually see both from our balcony! The rooms were clean and we stayed in the 2 bedroom suite. Perfect for a family with 2 bathrooms. There is... More

The beds are hard. The pillows are harder. The room is old. Breakfast is terrible. The coffee machine stopped working during breakfast, and food was running put by 8am. They just were not replenishing fast enough. The only thing good about this hotel is its location.

Neighborhood Profile
Monti
Monti is Rome’s rebel yell. This neighborhood just west of Termini train station mixes grit with fun as it continues to fight for its reputation as a magnet for the artsy, alternative, and hipster. Every season, quirky boutiques and food spots sprout up on its cobblestone streets. The neighborhood supports unique and homegrown businesses that cater to its longtime residents as well as hipsters on the hunt. Hang out at Piazza della Madonna dei Monti anytime after lunch and you'll always find something going on.
