My four friends and I stayed at the Castle for 3 nites and had a wonderful experience. Miss Xenia treated us like honored guests instead of paying customers. Our accommodations were big and comfortable and a very large bathroom!! We had tours scheduled early and arrangements were made to serve us breakfast early and any request was taken care of... more

We were at Scandeluzza Castle few weeks ago and we loved it! It is realy serious place! We travel a lot and usually find expensive and bed-served hotels, but this castle is perfect ! Good service and good prices. After the dinner in Trastevere area It took us just 10 minutes to come back - very quick and easy. The... more

We knew from our dealings with Miss Xenia from Belgrade, her prince, Phillipe, and his mother, "Mama" when we made our reservations that we would either love or hate this place, but it turns out to be a mixture of the two. Miss Xenia, a Serbian over-the-hill model, couldn't do enough for us. Mama, about 80 yrs old, was the... more

I do not recommend staying at the Scandeluzza Castle for the following reasons: 1. Travel to and from the center of Rome took my family 1.25 - 1.75 hours each way. You have to take a bus from the Castle to the second to last stop on the A subway line. There are at least 10 bus stops between the... more

Although on the outskirts of Rome, we found this hidden "gem" to be a nice retreat and relief to return to from the crowds and noise of the city. Taxi fare to centre of Rome for our family of 5 was about 20Euro each way and took 20 - 30 minutes. We stayed in the Madonne and Pelligrini suites -... more

Just back from our honeymoon all around Europe which started with our Wedding in Rome. We were about 2 or 3 months debating with ourselves and Xenia wether or not we were going to have our Wedding reception in the castle as its a big decision we were quite doubtful. We eventually went ahead and booked it and on our... more

Our family of 4 (Self, wife, son aged 17 and son aged 2) toured Europe for a month. We stayed 6 days in Rome @ the Scandeluzza Castle. As you can tell by other reviews, it seems one either hates it or loves it - WE LOVED IT! Often, travelers from the West (espec. N. American Continent) are "finicky" or... more

On arrival at the awful Ciampino Airport we decided to get a taxi to the Scandeluzza Castle, only to find that none of the taxi drivers had heard of it and the cheapest fare we got was 90 Euros. The so called castle is miles from Rome city center in the middle of no where On arrival we were greeted... more
