My wife had went with the mother in law a few years ago this was my first trip however. I cannot recommend the hotel enough the owner Alberta was very helpful with recommendations of places to eat and anything else needed. We drove to Rome from Orvieto and were trying to find the B & B. Via Cavour is closed to traffic 1/2 block Northeast of the B & B which made it very frustrating. However, I was able to turn on the street just above and double parked. My wife walked to the B & B and I actually was... More

The location is good. Easy walking distance to sites, restaurants, and metro. It's easy to find and elevator-accessible (though there is one step before you can get in the elevator and the elevator is small if that's an issue for you). The room we booked was very small but super clean and well-organized. I appreciated the laundry rack they provided... More

Hotel Paba is a great place to stay if you want to be near the Colosseum, Forum, shopping and other historical areas. Other places, including the Vatican are easily accessible on the Metro, with a stop just up the street from the hotel. Decent restaurants are also close by. Alberta is a great hostess, and will even teach you some... More

We stayed here two nights at the end of a cruise. The location is great, you can walk to most of the popular sites in Rome from here. The hotel is not luxurious but was clean and we had a large room. The bed in our room (honeymoon suite) was very hard. The lady who was running the hotel was... More

Loved our one night stay at Hotel Paba. If we had more time so would have stayed longer! It was a comfortable room, great location and wonderful staff. If we return to Rome, this is where we would stay!

We had room 2 rooms for our stay at Hotel Paba and were delighted with the super clean and spacious rooms. We expected a noisy hotel because of its great location close to the Coliseum, but the windows kept it quiet. One room had a charming balcony. This hotel is not contemporary and fancy, but has a charming Italian ambiance.... More

We stayed at the Hotel Paba for 4 nights at the beginning of October and had a great stay. The location is a very short walk from the Coliseum and the Roman Forum. Great location, spotlessly clean, and great service. Only negative was the room is noisy if you have a room facing the Main Street and wish to keep... More

Staying in Monti

Neighborhood Profile
Monti
Monti is Rome’s rebel yell. This neighborhood just west of Termini train station mixes grit with fun as it continues to fight for its reputation as a magnet for the artsy, alternative, and hipster. Every season, quirky boutiques and food spots sprout up on its cobblestone streets. The neighborhood supports unique and homegrown businesses that cater to its longtime residents as well as hipsters on the hunt. Hang out at Piazza della Madonna dei Monti anytime after lunch and you'll always find something going on.
