Spent 3 nights here on our honeymoon and it was a great spot. Room was small and cozy, but clean and quaint. The location is perfect for packing in great sightseeing. The proprietor is good-natured. The price is right. She brings a breakfast plate to the room with a pastry, roll, yogurt, and coffee, which was a relaxing way to... more

Having been to Rome a few times, I can say, for sure, there is no perfect location to stay in a city the size of Rome. No matter where you stay, there will be issues with getting to the metro, or being too far from things you want to see, or not love the area the place is in. Rome... more

We loved Hotel Paba! The Staff was professional, courteous, and helpful. The Rooms were so clean! -"As tidy as a box of chocolates." IAlthough central to everything, the rooms were quiet. We have no reservation in recommending this hotel! more

We loved the location, even though it was on a busy street. It reminded us of New York City. Everything was in walking distance, restaurants, shops, historic sites. The staff was great. The bathroom was large. The only complaint would be about the bed. It was hard as a rock and I didn't sleep well all 3 nights. I even... more

We stayed at Hotel Paba about a month ago! We were very comfortable with the room. ..much larger than most European rooms and the bathroom a good size as well. It was also very clean, and I am very particular. We were in the Imperial Suite, which had a small cabinet in the bathroom to put your toiletries (nice and... more

Hotel Paba is as described in its reviews. We stayed there for 3 nights at the end of October 2009. The room (Room 6) was much better than we expected. Really big (about 25 m2 together with the toilet), especially for Italy standards. The bed was the biggest I had ever seen. Probably it is constituted by two separate beds.... more

My husband and I just came back from our honeymoon and stayed 7 nights at the Hotel Paba. The location is great - with the Forum about a 2 min. walk down the street and then about a 7-10 min. walk around the corner, you run into the Colloseum. Our first night there, we decided to walk around a little... more

We stayed 3 nights in October. The location is ideal - about 15 minute walk from the Termini, about 5-10 minute walk from the Colosseum and the Metro stop. Lots of good restaurants nearby. The only downside of the location is that it is on a very busy street, so there is a lot of traffic noise and the last... more

Just returned from Italy and spent our last 5 nights at Paba Hotel. A real gem. I agree with all the good reviews. Two things not mentioned that we really enjoyed. The "lift" is one of those old fashioned black iron french kind of lifts that was a joy to ride. It was quieter than a hybrid car! Also the... more

I'll get the not-so-great out of the way first--hotel rooms are adequate, utilitarian. One of the two rooms had a much nicer bathroom than the other, and like Rick Steves said, the beds are a bit firm. Now onto what is great about the Paba. Location can't be beat. Easy access to get to everything, walking or the Metro, or... more
