This charming place, well situated within walking distance to the Termini, met all our needs in Rome. Breakfast included in our reasonable tariff, and presented in a charming area, was great. nearby restaurants, were well appreciated, and the staff were lovely. We left behind my husband's hat, which was posted to us at our next destination, free of charge! Very... More

As other reviewers have already stated, this hotel has a great location. It's about a 3 block walk from Rome Termini Station. The size of the room was surprising, as it was much bigger than we anticipated for European standards. Check in was a breeze, rooms were spacious and very clean, and the front desk guys are all extremely nice... More

Just stayed here in June while on our trip to Rome. This place is in awesome proximity to the Termini station, which makes access to main city sites much more manageable (although Termini can be overwhelming in itself). The area that the hotel is in seems OK enough, theres some type of street market that goes on during the daytime... More

The hotel Domus Praetoria in Via Milazzo Rome is a perfect location for a holiday in this amazing city. It is a family run hotel with exceptionally friendly staff. English speaking also. Very clean and quiet, safe hotel which has all the basic requirements. Room was very well fitted with LCD tv and airconditioning. Room had double glazing, so no... More

I stayed here with my family while visiting Rome on our summer holiday. The hotel is very well appointed with helpful staff and nice rooms. The breakfast was certainly enjoyable and the breakfast area was a beatiful little patio area. The rooms were very large and the beds comfortable. At less than five minutes walk from Roma Termini (main train... More

We stayed for 2 nights in June. This hotel is a little gem. Service is great and the room was charming. The only slight negative was the 2 steps down to reach the bathroom. The front entrance is a bit tricky to find. It looks like an apartment building _ so keep looking out for street numbers and ring the... More

We stayed at the Hotel Domus Praetoris near Termini in Rome for one night because of its location -- a short walk from the train station. It was a great find -- the rooms were spacious and comfortable - well appointed with soaps and shampoo and big towels (important on our last night when we were out of supplies). We... More

Two of us stayed at this hotel for 2 nights. Location-wise we couldn't have asked for more - it is a very short 3-5 minute walk from Termini which gets you to everywhere you Rome you could possibly want to go. It was slightly difficult to find at first because it isn't exceedingly well sign-posted, but keep walking along Via... More

We stayed at this conveniently located hotel for one night. It is 5 minutes walk from the Termini. The entrance is unassuming but don't let it fool you. The reception was friendly and efficient. Our room on the second floor was very spacious and clean, with a window facing the street. The bathroom was large and bright with plenty of... More

Beautiful hotel in perfect location, 5 minutes walk to the Termini. Would suggest a room not facing the street, they set up markets everyday at 5am and it's incredibly noisy, we used ear plugs it was so loud!! Other than that, it's a sensational place to stay, we will be back!! (Just not on the ground floor on the street!!!!)

Staying in Esquilino

Neighborhood Profile
Old school vibe from the very beginning is the only way to describe the Esquilino neighborhood. The Esquilino takes pride in being one of the oldest areas in Rome for its key location on one of the city’s famous seven hills. From an ancient neighborhood to its modern incarnation as a multicultural hub, Esquilino always has something going on—polyglot vendors debate street artists while kids play pick-up basketball games. Look around you: this area isn’t like the historic center. Liberty architecture, large piazzas, and long boulevards mix with archaic arches, secret side alleys, and beautiful churches like Santa Maria Maggiore.
