Great little hotel within a few minutes walk of central Rome attractions such as Spanish Steps. This is an inexpensive hotel which is a good standard. Perfect for a weekend break and half the price of some of the international chains which are out of town.

Booked four nights in two rooms for our family of five. Hotel reception is friendly and location is great, but that's it! Our entire family ended up using only one bathroom to shower in because one of the tubs had a large crack in it that was filled with black mold and water poured onto the floor. The useable shower... I stayed at La Fenice Hotel during my trip to Rome in September 2013 with my mother. The room was small, but very clean and well presented. It was perfect for our trip as we had no intention of spending time in our room other than sleeping, since we were always out and about! Breakfast was basic but a good... More

We booked this hotel as it was fairly inexpensive and looked the ideal location to see all the sights we wanted to in the 4 days we had in Rome for our Honeymoon. We read all the reviews here and on expedia carefully and decided it was worth taking a chance and I guess we didn't have high expectations. It... More

The room was small, dark and smelly. Our friends room had been given to somebody else although they had paid in advance The plus points were the great location and the very helpful staff - but I still wouldn't recommend this hotel

This hotel is perfectly located for seeing sights, catching the hop on hop off tour bus and shopping. A few minutes walking will get you to the Trevi Fountain or Spanish Steps. There are plenty of nearby shops too. The hotel looks dodgy from outside but isn't quite as dodgy as it looks. However, our room door handle kept falling... More

Perfect for a night stay in Rome. The staff were so helpful, before and during the stay. They recommended and booked 2 restaurants for us. As well as organising a lovely car for the transfer from the airport. The location was perfect, 5 mins from the fountains. Unfortunately they were being refurbished. Good value compared to other hotels around. Breakfast... More

The hotel is located in the center of Rome, near the Spanish Steps and Trevi Fountain, and a short walk from a metro station, very good location. On the day we arrived, our rome had a problem. The manager immediately called a cub and transferd us to a 4 star hotel. We came back the day after. The rest of... More

Very good value here, room a bit cramped for 3 single beds, but as a double would be great. Bathroom fine, towels replaced daily, shower powerful! Fridge stocked every day. Lift to all floors.Room safe worked. only 6 clothes hangers in wardrobe. Excellent choice for Breakfast on roof terrace ( inside) and staff friendly. I would ( and have) recommend... More

Staying in Colonna

Neighborhood Profile
Frantic fashionistas, pedicured politicos, goal-oriented tourists, and on-the-go locals cross paths every day in Colonna, a delightful chaos in the very center of the city. Even though it has some of the city’s loveliest sites—a 2nd century column, Belle Epoque shopping center, and a magnificent Baroque parliament building—Colonna is not just another pretty face, but the cosmopolitan eye of Rome’s cultural storm. Colonna can safely say it has the best of Rome: museums, boutiques, window displays, restaurants, cafes, and people watching.
