I came here in January 2014 with my wife to be at the time, wasn't sure what to expect as had never been to Rome but was pleasantly surprised. Leonardo express train drops you from the airport right outside the hotel basically which was perfect! Walking in to the hotel it was modern, clean and the staff were really helpful.... More

The rooms facing the train station are unbelievably loud and the voice announcements for the trains kept me up all night. Otherwise, clean and comfortable rooms though strangely designed. Lights were difficult to turn off. Wifi was excellent throughout the hotel. Checking in and out was slow, and the reception staff were, well... not rude, but not exactly welcoming either.... More

We were here with around 140 people. Many people had issues with the shower, ants in the room, phone not working, electricity not working, doorkey not working, ... For this price, definitly not worth it. Bar is quite expensive (8 euro for a beer). Personel helps, but the handy man who was fixing something in my room was being called... More

I stayed at radisson Blu Rome for 3 nights. Nice hotel, with original design. Room are well designed and clean. Room service is ok, but not enough for a 5 star hotel. No major errors, but lot of minor lapses (e.g. did not clean the shower, did not change the water, did not add the bath gel...). Another problem of... More

One of my worst experiences in a hotel and definitely not good enough for a Radisson hotel. The room was terribly hot and there were no air in the room. No airconditioning, and to open window I had to crawl over the table. The room was pretty worn down and dirty, the walls and the floor were black. WiFi was... More

Dear Eva, I apologize for the lack of service offered during your stay. Unfortunately, as reported by other guests and already replied, we have had problems with the heating system and the electricty in general, because of multiple intervents on the area by the municipality. Actually everything has been solved, while, concerning the information not used by my staff at... More

First impression was good. The service is excellent, once you get used to find where things are. Chose this hotel for the location & amenities. Room was comfortable, good bed, spacious with a sitting area. Breakfast was awesome!I don't agree with a wide spread out of food. There was a very good selection of food of your preference. Whether the... More

This was one of the worst hotel experiences I have ever had. We booked early check in and late check out. Room was not ready. Key NEVER worked, always had to have someone go up to the room with us to let us in. The room was very hot!!! Lots if noise outside. People had front desk not very helpful.... More

Dear Jody, many thanks for reporting your feedback about your stay in our hotel. Unfortunately, due to an unexpected problem to the heating system, we suffered for 12 days of problems with high temperature in rooms. We couldn't give the possibility to have cool, and this caused several problems like to you. Likely, and finally the problem have been solved, we... More

I used my gold points to book a two night stay at the Radisson Blue Rome Hotel. You would think by the sound of the name you could expect the rooms to not be infested by bugs. The room was very hot, so we were very lucky to be upgraded to the business class room that had a balcony. Opening... More

My friend and I stayed at the Radisson Blu es. Rome for three nights in the beginning of the year. I booked our room using Gold Points (44k per night). The hotel website markets the property as being centrally located, "hip", and full of perks (such as the swimming pool). We arrived in Rome by train and walked to the... More

My partner and I stayed here late Dec to early Jan. The first thing we noticed was the location. It's close enough for easy access to the Termini but the area itself is run down and pretty sketchy. We didn't feel safe walking around after dark. When we got to our room, there was a faint smell of sewage in... More

Dear Ruby, we apologize for all the inconveniences occurred during your stay. Reading your complaint, I have to reply that the first room assigned, was exactly as per your reservation, a standard room with the shower in the middle of the room, as explained in our website. Due to the law occupancy, we could offer you a free upgrade to... More

Staying in Esquilino

Neighborhood Profile
Esquilino
Old school vibe from the very beginning is the only way to describe the Esquilino neighborhood. The Esquilino takes pride in being one of the oldest areas in Rome for its key location on one of the city’s famous seven hills. From an ancient neighborhood to its modern incarnation as a multicultural hub, Esquilino always has something going on—polyglot vendors debate street artists while kids play pick-up basketball games. Look around you: this area isn’t like the historic center. Liberty architecture, large piazzas, and long boulevards mix with archaic arches, secret side alleys, and beautiful churches like Santa Maria Maggiore.
