This was a two-night stay returning from a holiday in Puglia - and taking the opportunity to get an impression of Rome. The Imperial Inn is a great place to stay. Not a hotel, but a refurbished flat with nice big rooms. Within easy walking distance of Termini and really everything else. The room was a very good size. The... More

When I first visited the Eternal City as a backpacking student some 40+ years ago this area close to Stazione Termini was full of what was then called "Pensione". They were basic rooms, gloomy and often shared and accessed by lifts resembling Mr Otis' original prototype. Of course that has all changed now and the old pensione have become small... More

The location is simply perfect in the middle of the centre of Rome situated on the 4th floor of a stunning historical residential apartment building. It is very close to the colosseum (15 minutes walk) and many other historical sites. Termini station is 8 minutes walking. The B&B facility is excellent: clean, beautiful, quiet and spacey rooms with excellent breakfast.The... More

We have just arrived back from a lovely stay in Rome! We had the green room which was lovely it over looked the street onto via vinales. Everything was perfect apart from the breakfast as it was very limited and room although it's pretty was very compact and bijou, the breakfast choice was fruit, 2 kinds of cereal, toast and... More

The location is very good, near the Termini train and Metro station (walking distance) and the room (double) was not bad at all although a bit small. The breakfast is unacceptable and doesn't even worth the calories. Early morning is a bit noisy during the preparation of the "breakfast room"/reception/entrance. A few corrections are required in order to be a... More

This B&B was great. Isabelita made us feel like family. Clean, quiet, safe room which is important when you go to a city like Rome. They provided breakfast, maps extra towels and anything else we needed. Wonderful experience. Close to the metro and the train station which helped a lot.

The staff was great from before even arriving in Rome - sending lots of information and arranging the taxi pickup. When arriving we got a short description of Rome, the places to see and how to get there. The neighborhood was quiet so we got a good nights sleep but still close to the center and Metro. The only thing... More

Came to Rome for 3 days and stayed at this Inn. Cristina at reception is very helpful and very accommodating. The rooms are very nice and clean and very quiet. The only down fall we found was that continental breakfast is at 8 am which Estelita sets up.The pastry's are not delivered until 8 am and the coffee is not... More

I stayed 3 days in December, enjoyed them all. Christina is extremely helpful to give you direction on how, when and where. I came on short notice without having done any research. My 3 days were a total success. I do not need to go into detail about the rooms and so on, everyone else has done so. If you're... More

Last Oct 28 was our second time to stay in this beautiful apartment. The manager , Cristina has always been very accommodating and friendly and her Filipina housekeeper , Estelita is a gem. ;) Each room has each own lovely design, the service is efficient and the breakfast is also good.

Staying in Esquilino

Neighborhood Profile
Esquilino
Old school vibe from the very beginning is the only way to describe the Esquilino neighborhood. The Esquilino takes pride in being one of the oldest areas in Rome for its key location on one of the city’s famous seven hills. From an ancient neighborhood to its modern incarnation as a multicultural hub, Esquilino always has something going on—polyglot vendors debate street artists while kids play pick-up basketball games. Look around you: this area isn’t like the historic center. Liberty architecture, large piazzas, and long boulevards mix with archaic arches, secret side alleys, and beautiful churches like Santa Maria Maggiore.
