The staff was great from before even arriving in Rome - sending lots of information and arranging the taxi pickup. When arriving we got a short description of Rome, the places to see and how to get there. The neighborhood was quiet so we got a good nights sleep but still close to the center and Metro. The only thing... More

Came to Rome for 3 days and stayed at this Inn. Cristina at reception is very helpful and very accommodating. The rooms are very nice and clean and very quiet. The only down fall we found was that continental breakfast is at 8 am which Estelita sets up.The pastry's are not delivered until 8 am and the coffee is not... More

I stayed 3 days in December, enjoyed them all. Christina is extremely helpful to give you direction on how, when and where. I came on short notice without having done any research. My 3 days were a total success. I do not need to go into detail about the rooms and so on, everyone else has done so. If you're... More

Last Oct 28 was our second time to stay in this beautiful apartment. The manager , Cristina has always been very accommodating and friendly and her Filipina housekeeper , Estelita is a gem. ;) Each room has each own lovely design, the service is efficient and the breakfast is also good.

I regret not staying here during my whole stay in Rome. I opted to go for a "party hostel" which had crappy service, and I only got to stay at this beautiful place for an overnight stay when I met up with my family. Imperial Inn is basically a big flat that was turned into a B&B with +/- 6... More

This is a fantastic place to stay in Rome, and I would give it five stars if they could only improve the breakfast. We originally discovered the property through Alastair Sawday's Special Places to Stay listings for Rome. The rooms look exactly like those pictured on Sawday's website. There are only about 5 rooms total, and some very clever thinking... More

If you want an impersonal hotel, then go somewhere else. If you want to feel like you are living in Rome then consider this hotel. Spotlessly clean room, really accommodating staff - I cannot rate it highly enough at this budget.

Lovely elegantly designed B&B just around the corner from Termini station and in front of the opera house, Roma. We loved it, in loved our room, the privacy, the breakfast and felt like we were truly in Rome. The street next has lovely restaurants and the opera house in right ahead. We had booked a ballet and had to just... More

Staying in Esquilino

Neighborhood Profile
Esquilino
Old school vibe from the very beginning is the only way to describe the Esquilino neighborhood. The Esquilino takes pride in being one of the oldest areas in Rome for its key location on one of the city’s famous seven hills. From an ancient neighborhood to its modern incarnation as a multicultural hub, Esquilino always has something going on—polyglot vendors debate street artists while kids play pick-up basketball games. Look around you: this area isn’t like the historic center. Liberty architecture, large piazzas, and long boulevards mix with archaic arches, secret side alleys, and beautiful churches like Santa Maria Maggiore.
