It´s as many other guests wrote before: The staff is hard to get. When we arrived there was no one there. We had to wait for a least half an our before someone came to let us in. We had to pay in CASH immediately by the check-in, credit card is not excepted (very poor, come on, we are in... More

Large room with very very basic furniture, bathroom was old and leaking almost everywhere. Cleanliness level is below average, no one changed the bedsheets, and the towels were changed only twice during a 1 week stay! Wifi signal was very very poor too. The staff are only there when people are checking in and out, Apart from this the place... More

Discover Roma is very well located near to the main train station (train form airport arrives here) and just a short walk to the main tourist attractions. The staff were very welcoming and gave me some great insider tips on where to go and even drawing everything out on a map for me. Highly recommended and affordable accommodation.

Dirty. Hair everywhere, on the floor, in the shower, one even on the towel. Location is good. No breakfast is included. Free wifi. The bathroom is not one of those where you feel to walk in and used it... I got the feeling it had not been disinfected since the previous guest.

Book a ticket to visit Rome for the 5 time. Used Discover Rome services. Was very pleasantly surprised at the customized attention the I got over mt stay. The people running the show were very pleasant, the hotel centralized and the value to be good. The place was well kept up. I would visit this place again in an instant... More

Spent 5 nights at Discover Roma and really enjoyed it. It is a budget hotel and therefore the rooms are plain and simple but, offer you everything you need. While in Rome you tend to do lots of walking so all you really need is a bed and a clean room and bathroom which is what I found here. The... More

Be sure to have cash so you can avoid the credit card situation. It's never going to be fixed. We paid extra for the A/C but it never worked. I had really bad allergies. Make sure if you suffer from the same to carry your anti histamine. It was ok overall. The breakfast consists to pre-packaged Croissants and Tang and... More

Enjoyed our overall stay at Discover Roma, ditto to the previous review. We actually stayed in two rooms during our stay: a room facing the street, which was roomier but noisier and another one facing the patios of other building apartments, which was fun to hear locals doing their common things, eating dinner, etc.. yet extremely quiet at night. It... More

Staying in Esquilino

Neighborhood Profile
Esquilino
Old school vibe from the very beginning is the only way to describe the Esquilino neighborhood. The Esquilino takes pride in being one of the oldest areas in Rome for its key location on one of the city’s famous seven hills. From an ancient neighborhood to its modern incarnation as a multicultural hub, Esquilino always has something going on—polyglot vendors debate street artists while kids play pick-up basketball games. Look around you: this area isn’t like the historic center. Liberty architecture, large piazzas, and long boulevards mix with archaic arches, secret side alleys, and beautiful churches like Santa Maria Maggiore.
