Very nice hotel. But, please be aware of European plumbing! They are all about conservation. Took me a while to get a handle on the bathtub! Staff was very nice. Nice location. Unfortunately, the a/c was not on yet, so it was a little warm for me. The mattress was a bit hard, too!

Empire Palace Hotel is a great find. The staff could not be more courteous and the location is great. There are several restaurants to eat at which are just steps away. The breakfast that is included each morning is delicious----and all with free WiFi. I would definitely stay here again.

Nice room and we had great front-desk service. The area around the hotel definitely felt more local, less touristy. So it felt like a respite once we came back from the Colosseum, Pantheon, etc. Only drawback was that it was quite a hike (or a taxi) to some of the key sights. We had the BEST gelato just up the... This was a really nice hotel in a quiet neighborhood. Our room was perfect. Slippers and robes were provided. Twice daily towel service and bed turn down. The sheets were changed daily. Excellent mattress. The breakfast was excellent. Staff was helpful and courteous. There was free wifi and a number of restaurants nearby as well as gelato stores with delicious... More

A nice boutique hotel near the center (about 1km) in a very good neighborhood but average and pretty Italian service, little boring, not good English speaking. Rooms need to be renovated. A plus is the nice cafe recommended for smokers as it has nice atrium.

We recently stayed a total of four nights in the Empire Palace Hotel. We found the staff to be warm and friendly at all times. Upon arrival we were greeted with a chilled bottle of champagne and a fruit basket in our room. The included breakfast was very good, with a wide selection available. When our flight out of Rome... Good: location, breakfast, courtyard Bad: staff attitude(apart from breakfast staff), dinner, rooms This was our third stay here over a period of 7 years and each time the overall experience was a little worse. There was also no recognition of a returning guest at check in. Not a big deal but would have been nice. We booked a deluxe room... More

Stayed 2 nights. IV floor. +240 €/day Pros: strategic position near Termini station and Via Veneto, nice bed linen & towels and toilet consumables (Etro); huge king bed. Kind receptionist. Cons: used bathroom with lime/scale signs, shower unstable and impossible to use correctly without having entire bathroom flooded. Electric plugs unstable and not functioning.

The empire Palace is very conviniently located, only a ten minute walk from two metro stations and near many bus routes. For a city hotel it is quiet. Many good and different places to eat are very near. The staff is extremely friendly. I rented a Jr. Suite and it was marvelous. I have nothing but praise for this hotel.

Staying in Ludovisi / Via Veneto

Neighborhood Profile
Ludovisi / Via Veneto
Thanks to Fellini and La Dolce Vita, the Ludovisi and Via Veneto neighborhood earned its reputation as a posh area where gorgeous Marcellos wooed actresses and models while bored housewives hung out in streetside cafes. The cafes are still there, and so are the cocktails, but the neighborhood is now home to five-star businesses including hotels, banks, law firms, and embassies. The area is also right next to Villa Borghese, a beautiful park for sporting and cultural adventures. If you're looking for tranquility by night, this may be the place: Ludovisi and Veneto tend to shut down after 8pm.
