I loved my stay at this hotel. All of the reception staff are attentive and friendly. I stayed here from Saturday July 11th - July 15th. Everyone we spoke to at the front desk answered all of our questions, gave us directions to where we needed to go, and even helped us when we had a problem with our tour... More

If you want to know about the hotel itself, summary...fine you wont be disappointed. However it fails when it comes to internet access. Whilst a decent enough speed, its VERY hit and miss, dropping out and then talking an age to reconnect. VERY FRUSTRATING I know some of you will comment.....'oh you're on holiday so shouldn't be online but enjoying... More

A nice hotel in a good location, in walking distance to most of main attraction but most things are over a mile (think about the heat). Rooms are comfortable and clean but on the small side. Breakfast is a buffet and has a variety on offer to suit all tastes. Staff are generally friendly. Some good restaurant close by.

This hotel was definatly not 1 of the better 4 star hotels ive been in. The hotel design is definatly not my style, it looks outdated and is in need of a makeover. Breakfest was not so great, i recall the only things i thought were good enough to eat were jam filled criossants, youghurt(which they did not make themselves)... More

nice, old fashioned 4* hotel, centrally located, unfortunately the rooms are a little run down, breakfast appropriate, friendly staff, patio with fountain for afternoon coffees, some nice restaurants nearby;

Well appointed rooms with everything you'd expect to find in a 4* hotel. They aren't huge but aren't tiny either and have everything you could want. The bed is amazing and really comfortable and the bathroom although small has a nice deep bath and a very powerful shower. Breakfast is buffet style American and offers a good choice of cereal,... The hotel is located close to the main train station, a bit further from the main attractions. It is about 25 mins walk to the Spanish Steps, about 45 minutes to the Colloseum or The Vatican and St. Peters. Staff were very friendly throughout my visit. The breakfast buffet has a good selection. My room was good and clean, although... More

This is our first trip to Italy and we chose the Venice, Florence, Rome route. Though each hotel in each city had it's own personality, Empire Palace was our favorite. The staff - from the front desk to the wait staff were always standing at the ready and eager to please. The drinks on the patio were always accompanied with... More

Staying in Ludovisi / Via Veneto

Neighborhood Profile
Ludovisi / Via Veneto
Thanks to Fellini and La Dolce Vita, the Ludovisi and Via Veneto neighborhood earned its reputation as a posh area where gorgeous Marcellos wooed actresses and models while bored housewives hung out in streetside cafes. The cafes are still there, and so are the cocktails, but the neighborhood is now home to five-star businesses including hotels, banks, law firms, and embassies. The area is also right next to Villa Borghese, a beautiful park for sporting and cultural adventures. If you're looking for tranquility by night, this may be the place: Ludovisi and Veneto tend to shut down after 8pm.
