Set in an old Palazzo with many interesting architectural features including a wonderful painted ceiling, this hotel is ideally located for the Government, Banking and Finance districts of Rome and is within walking distance of many of the major Ministries. It is clean, comfortable and functional rather than luxurious, rooms are smallish and undistinguished, there is a lack of charging... More

Old World elegance on a quiet street in Rome. The rooms are comfy with high ceilings, mini-bar and private bath. Love that it has a bidet! The staff is friendly, helpful, and accommodating. They arrange taxis, reservations, and even tickets for a church concert. The complimentary breakfast was sumptuous with many choices. On an early morning tour they provided a... More

We stayed in this hotel for 2 nights. From here we walked around for miles to see the sights. There are some great little rest aunts around the hotel and the breakfast that can come with your room is very good as a buffet with just about anything you wanted to eat. You would need transportation to take you to... More

The Hotel is central, however it's still a good walk to the main amenities. The Hotel's gym is awful, machines are very old and most of cardiovascular machines don't work. The Restorant's hotel is of poor decor and very limited menu.

We have had a perfect stay in this hotel. The rooms were wonderful (please check the "de luxe" rooms for a bit more square feet. Bathroom was small but adequate. Shower was perfect and certainly after a long day walking through the city. The breakfast was a full breakfast with scrambled eggs, toast, sandwiches, coffee, tea and whatever you can... More

It is my second day at EMPIRE PALACE and I think I have seen a lot. It is located near central Rome but not in the centre. There is subway service nearby within walking distance. If you are up to it you can also walk to the centre. It is about half an hour on foot. The property itself is... More

Great experience so far. Today is our first day. Good size rooms for Europe. Clean. Seems like a good neighborhood. Staff speaks English and was very helpful. Seems like a great hotel so far and we have been enjoying our stay. Recommended.

I want to thank the staff of the Empire Palace for helping to make my wife and I's honeymoon a very wonderful and memorable experience. The front desk was very inviting and always willing to help us whenever we needed it. Special thanks to Francesco and Ivan who took some extra time to make sure we got where we needed... More

Excellent location for Rome exploring. Quiet neighbourhood in center of Rome. Nice restaurants and 'gelato' places around hotel. Clean & nice rooms (not very large)... Kind staff... My recommendations...

Staying in Ludovisi / Via Veneto

Neighborhood Profile
Ludovisi / Via Veneto
Thanks to Fellini and La Dolce Vita, the Ludovisi and Via Veneto neighborhood earned its reputation as a posh area where gorgeous Marcellos wooed actresses and models while bored housewives hung out in streetside cafes. The cafes are still there, and so are the cocktails, but the neighborhood is now home to five-star businesses including hotels, banks, law firms, and embassies. The area is also right next to Villa Borghese, a beautiful park for sporting and cultural adventures. If you're looking for tranquility by night, this may be the place: Ludovisi and Veneto tend to shut down after 8pm.
