The Empire Palace is a lovely hotel in a quiet area just north of the Republican and just a few blocks east of Pizza de Poppula, Via Veneto and the Spanish Steps. Very European in look and feel ( not "Americanized") but very accommodating to English speakers. Wonderful staff from front desk to housekeeping, Rooms are clean and very comfortable.... More

fabulous location minutes from the Spanish steps. great restaurants all around the hotel. the staff was exceptional. Room is small-but this is Rome. Great centre courtyard to have a coffee or a drink at night. Very professional staff...clean and I inviting. Bathroom is large with a bathtub..a bonus

Quiet, very clean, lovely room in a quiet area of Rome. Pleasant 10 minute walk to the train/bus station and many sites in walking distance also, including great restaurants. Staff was helpful and friendly. Breakfast was included and both choice and quality were excellent.

This was a post cruise stay for my husband and myself. We were a little apprehensive when we arrived as the hotel is down a side street with large bins a few yards away and wondered what we had let ourselves in for. However, once in reception and check in so very easy we were not as alarmed. We were... More

The hotel is interesting - in a historic refurbished building in a quiet neighborhood. The room was rather small but the bathroom was just enough. Amenities in the room were of good quality and the housekeeping was good. The decor in the restaurants was good with vaulted ceilings and artwork and the food was good. The staff were generally friendly... More

My mom and I stayed 4 nights in late June/early July 2015. Our stay at Empire Palace was nothing but excellent, no complaints. :-) Staff was always friendly and helpful with any questions we had. Room was clean and air conditioned (important since we were in Italy during an intense heat wave!). Our room was on the second or third... More

Hotel is in a quiet neighbourhood fairly close to Spanish Steps. Hotel is however sadly in need of an upgrade, our room was small and old. The AC quit working while we were there...which in 38 degree weather was not good. Front desk staff were not helpful, we asked them to make a dinner reservation for us instead we were... More

I love this place been the time 4 times first time here wish I had known this place existed before. Awesome hospitality and they were great with small children. They organized all my rides excursions to the Vatican City and all the landmarks. They even reserved scooters for my entire family. Bella! Bravo!

Our first time in Europe so we did not know what to expect. Very small room with no closet or storage, but was told that was normal in Rome unless you paid big bucks! Food and drinks were good at the restaurant and a breakfast buffet comes with the price of the room.

Staying in Ludovisi / Via Veneto

Neighborhood Profile
Ludovisi / Via Veneto
Thanks to Fellini and La Dolce Vita, the Ludovisi and Via Veneto neighborhood earned its reputation as a posh area where gorgeous Marcellos wooed actresses and models while bored housewives hung out in streetside cafes. The cafes are still there, and so are the cocktails, but the neighborhood is now home to five-star businesses including hotels, banks, law firms, and embassies. The area is also right next to Villa Borghese, a beautiful park for sporting and cultural adventures. If you're looking for tranquility by night, this may be the place: Ludovisi and Veneto tend to shut down after 8pm.
