Downtown Accommodation is definitely a great option to consider in Rome. The location is wonderful--just a very quick walk from the Coliseum and the Forum. I'm not sure if the rooms in the front (overlooking Via Cavour) are loud, but I requested a room in the back and it was very quiet. Lorenzo is very helpful and accommodating; it's clear... More

Spotless room, fantastic service with super friendly staff who went out of their way to make us feel welcome and make our stay enjoyable. Good central location, walking distance to all the good stuff, secluded and secure spot. Highly recommended.

The location of the hotel is excellent and very safe, very close to the Colosseo and Foro Romano. Besides, you can walk to other tourist spots from the hotel as well. And there are many italian resturants nearby (La taverna dei fori imperiali, il grillo parlante...). The owner Lorenzo is so kind and helpful when we arrived he gave us... More

The hotel was situated in a very good location, close to the main attractions, 5 minute walk to colosseum and forum. reasonably priced resturants at the end of the street. The host was very helpful and made us feel very welcome during our stay, nothing was too much trouble. Thank you Downtown Accommodation - would recommend.

Just back from 3 nights at this hotel for a 40th wedding anniversary treat. We had room 103 which looks out over a very busy Via Cavour. Despite the double glazing you will be aware of the traffic during the early hours but although I am a light sleeper it didn't stop me getting any sleep. You are right in... More

This place was fantastic! A great location, slightly away from the hustle and bustle of the city centre. Easy walking distance of all the sights of Rome, and just around the corner from the Colosseum. The host was perfect - very friendly and helpful, giving us a free city map and highlighting the key areas to visit whilst on our... More

As with what other reviews have said, the location is PRIME. In face, at the end of the street, you can see the Colosseum right in front of you!! No need for any transport pass. Most locations are within walkable distance. Clean, room was cleaned daily for the whole 4 nights of our stay. Breakfast was basic (as with most... More

The property was also in a prime location- a 2 minute walk to the Roman Forum. We didn't buy any metro tickets the whole stay since we were walking distance of all the sights! The owner was very kind, when we arrived he gave us a map and explained everything about transportation and kindly answered our questions. Overall I would very... More

Downtown Accomodation is a very convenient and quiet place to stay in the hustle and bustle of Rome. It is conveniently located 20mins away (by foot) from the train station and VERY short walk from the Colosseum, Trevi Fountain, etc. The staff were amazingly nice. The owner took the time to go over a map of Rome with us and... More

Myself and boyfriend stayed here for 4 nights/5 days at the end of January 2011. We were on a bit of a budget holiday, and our last resort was to look for private roomed hostels. Downtown accomodation appeared, it was a very favourable price, so we booked! Luckily, as we are both over 25, this was not actually what I... More
