Downtown accommodation is at a perfect location. Very near the Colosseum and Forum. It's near the Metro and you can walk from Termini to this place, it's about 17 minutes. The neighborhood is very save and there are many restaurants and small shops for food and drinks. Also you can walk to the different site seeing objects in Rome. The... More

My husband and I stayed at Soggiorno Downtown for four nights when we visited Rome. Lorenzo was a wonderful host and was friendly during our entire stay. He printed off our tickets for the Vatican for us as well as made a reservation at a restaurant on our behalf since we did not have a phone to use. He also... More

well located, 5 minute walk from the colosseum, 5 minute walk from the metro. Lorenzo brings you a good breakfast in the morning. the rooms are clean.i would suggest waking 25 minutes to the trastevere neighborhood to war, as food around this area is over priced.

We stayed here for 5 nights. It is very close to the Colosseum, and the other places not so far too. Lots of good restaurants near by, and very safe to walk around the area. Wifi was very good. Lorenzo is exceptional host, he gave us a large bottle of water and a bottle of red wine on our arrival.... More

We got to the hotel just before we had a scheduled tour, so we were in a very big hurry. Lorenzo helped us with our bags and allowed us to officially check-in after our tour. He was very friendly. One day we were up early, and he hushed us a bit in the hallway because his other guests were still... More

We stayed here for 4 nights. It is very close to the Colosseum (literally 5 minutes walking distance). Lorenzo and his son were lovely and helpful. The rooms were clean and breakfast was provided daily. A few great restaurants on the same street. We walked from the Termini station to Downtown Accomodation which took maybe 15-20 minutes with heavy luggage.... More

I've spent 2 days in this hotel. As was said here many times before - destination is simply the best. 5-10 minutes of walk to the Forum and Coliseum, finding yourselves in the very middle of history - that is what really counts. When you are in the city like Rome you want to spend as much time outside as... More

Stayed here from 10/5/14 to 10/10/14. If you are looking for modern decor and large rooms, you may not want to stay here. But if you are looking for a place with a great location and an even better hospitality, give this place a shot. The hotel is about a 5-10 minute walk to the Colosseum and a 15-20 minute... More

Location Location!! About a 15 minute walk to the Termini train station and most attractions within walking distance. The room was small but very clean and quiet. The breakfast was good and always on time. Lots of good restaurants near by and very safe to walk around the area. Wifi was very good compared to some we places we stayed.... More

Thank you Lorenzo for making our stay comfortable! The location is so convenient! Lorenzo booked taxis for us and made suggestions about where to eat and explained a map of the area. Breakfast was delivered on time and there was plenty to eat...eggs, pastries, toast, juice, yogurt and coffee. We found this location in a nice area and felt very... More

Staying in Monti

Neighborhood Profile
Monti
Monti is Rome’s rebel yell. This neighborhood just west of Termini train station mixes grit with fun as it continues to fight for its reputation as a magnet for the artsy, alternative, and hipster. Every season, quirky boutiques and food spots sprout up on its cobblestone streets. The neighborhood supports unique and homegrown businesses that cater to its longtime residents as well as hipsters on the hunt. Hang out at Piazza della Madonna dei Monti anytime after lunch and you'll always find something going on.
