This was an amazing find. Run by a very very helpful and very very friendly family, B&B Smart is in a brilliant location (about 5mins walk from Termini, the main train station in Rome), and in easy walking distance of all the attractions in the city. The B&B is in a beautiful Italian flat; spotlessly clean, it provides (included in... more

This is a very basic B&B that reminded me of my dorm room, twenty five years ago. The problem here is lack of interest, because this B&B could easily go from weekend prison to a real gem with a little bit of work. The location of the B&B is in a busy area. Luckily the room has double glazed windows... more

Smart B&B was a wonderful place to stay right in the heart of Rome. Although, we got lost when we first arrived, we eventually found Smart. It turned out to be only a couple of blocks from the Termini Station. When we arrived we were met by the owner who showed us to the lift. He also provided us with... more

This bed and breakfast is family run and very friendly. It is basic but has everything you should need. It is very well located. Just a few blocks from the train station, close to everything (everything is walkable except the vatican). It is next to a police station so you can be sure it's a safe location. Everything is clean... more

We stayed in B&B Smart for 2 nights. It is close to everywhere... train station, major sites. Even though it is just a few blocks away from the train station, it is far away enough for us to feel safe, as we did not see any dodgy characters on the street where the b&b was located. The room we got... more

We just stayed at Smart for 6 nights in March. The owners are wonderful. Very friendly and accomodating. They serve a good breakfast. The rooms and bath are large and very clean. The bed was very comfortable. There's a great supermarket up the block with a bunch of stores, a cafe and restaurants. However, be warned tht this is basic... more

We booked a room at their cheaper location on via Farini--which was near the train station and perfectly adequate if you just needed a quiet place to stay with a really great bed. Not sociable, however, if that's what you were seeking. But then they scheduled renovations and the owner brought us over to their more expensive hotel--private bathrooms and... more

This pensione is run by a nice family. It is close to the train station, metro station, and buses. We ended up walking everywhere, however; this place is in a good location. There are internet cafes on the same street down the next block (half a euro for 15 minutes, 1 euro for 30 minutes). Breakfast for the next day... more

We stayed at Bed and Breakfast Smart in July, 2006. Pros: Only three blocks from the train station, a 10 minute walk to the Colosseum, rooms pretty clean, nice hosts. Cons: Very basic accommodations. By U.S. standards, it's pretty rough. Skip their "breakfast" which was a tray of mushy apples, pre-packaged rolls, etc. and hit the nearby cafe to the... more

We did like B&B Smart in Rome . Room was very clean, big and bright. Hostess, Isa was quite friendly and helpful. Location is quite good, it is 5 minutes walk to the train station, there are bus stops and metro stop , supermarkets , restaurants are very close to the b&b , most important monuments : Trevi Fountain ,... more
