We arrived very late at night due to a delayed flight and lost luggage. We apologized profusely for being so late but Francois welcomed us without ill will. Our room was large and comfortable and we all slept soundly. The next morning Melissa took the time to give us a map of the city and point out the sights and... More

My sister and I spent 6 nights at the Nicolas Inn. We loved everything about this place. The location is near everything - walk out the door and see the ruins of the Roman Forum and sneak a peak at the Coliseum between the buildings. Our rooms was beautiful and decorate with paintings from the artists at Piazza Navona. The hosts... More

We found a great deal on airfare and headed to Rome with no preparation. I usually research my vacation well in advance. No worries, Francois & Melissa guided us through their city with ease. Being from Canada we found January in Rome warm. We still needed our coats but the temperature was perfect to explore the city on foot. The... More

Nicolas Inn deserves a solid 4.5 stars but Tripadvisor does not allow half-star rating. We stayed for 4 nights total in January. We stayed in a large room at the end of the B&B with blue tiles on the floor. Room came with a closet with safe, small (standard Italian size) bathroom with soap/shampoo, two twin beds put together to... More

Our stay at the Nicolas Inn was wonderful. Francois & Melissa went above & beyond the call of duty to make our stay comfortable and to help us connect with other areas of interest. Melissa is an American, which put us at ease right away. They arranged a driver to take us to and from the airport, which is well... More

The room and bathroom were clean, comfortable and well sized. It's not a luxury acommodation, but perfectly suited as a base for seeing Rome. Despite being on a main road, the thick walls and new windows kept out most of the street noise, and I was able to nap mid-day. The best part is the wonderfully friendly, helpful, English speaking... I stayed two nights at this hotel, and had an excellent experience. Melissa (one of the owners) was very helpful and friendly. As soon as we arrived she gave several suggestions on places to eat, told us when things opened around the city, and gave us advice on where to go first, etc. The room we stayed in was extremely... We loved our stay at the Nicolas Inn. It is a fantastic location. I loved getting morning shots, daytime shots and evening shots of the Colosseum any time we were walking around! Melissa and Francois made us feel welcome and were very helpful with restaurant suggestions and reservations. We would gladly stay there again and would love to come back... More

We couldn't have asked for a better location. The Nicolas Inn is a five minute walk from the Coliseum and the Roman Forum. Melissa and Francois are the nicest hosts we have met in all of our travels. They provided excellent restaurant and wine bar suggestions and the breakfast bar each morning is great. The beds are great and we... More

We stayed in the one of the Nicolas apartments across the street from the B and B for five days in early January 2012 and were very pleased with it all. It is hard to add much more to what so many other guests have said about the terrific location, Francois and Melissa's friendly service and the clean, quiet apartment.... More
