My wife and I would not stay at any other place in Rome than Nicolas Inn. I knew, based on the descriptions on TripAdvisor and the Rick Steves guidebook, that it was close to the Colosseum, but we GASPED when we walked to the end of the block and saw we were practically in the shadow of that iconic site,... My wife and I stayed at the Nicolas Inn in May 2015 for two nights to see the highlights of Rome on a short trip. The Nicolas Inn is on the second story of a building off of Via Cavour and has four rooms. We had a room overlooking the courtyard, which was quieter. The room was large, clean and... More

Our stay with Francois was awesome. Very attentive, and gives the best tips on where to go and where to eat. We had a room facing Via Cavour so it was a little noisy for us. Remember, you are in the heart of ancient Rome so don't expect it to be like a country villa. We were able to walk... More

We spent four days in Rome last summer and we absolutely loved our stay at Nicolas Inn. Location - Very convenient access to the subway, a 5-10 minute walk to many of the main ancient Rome attractions and plenty of places to eat. We walked or took the subway to all of the major sights, never needed a taxi. Accommodations... More

The Inn has four rooms, be sure to request an inside room facing the courtyard--busy street Via Cavour. The Inn is so convenient to the Colosseum and the Forum. Although, do not plan to lounge in your room, use only as a place to sleep. Clean, but lackluster bathroom, and the breakfast is a voucher for a local eatery, which... More

My wife and I highly recommend Nicolas Inn. Clean. comfortable and felt safe. Great value. Francois, Owner, offers warm hospitality, great restaurant recommendations and sight seeing tips. Hotel is a $8 Euro taxi trip from train station. Colosseum and Forum are 3 blocks away. Metro station is 2 blocks away to anywhere. Breakfast is included in the room rate at... More

Nicola Inn is located a stone's throw from the Colosseum and is hospitable, comfortable and helpful. Our thanks to Francois for helping to make our first visit to Rome so memorable. We'll be back! Rachel and Richard

This was my sister and I's first trip to Italy, and of the places we stayed we were most impressed by the Nicolas Inn. Melissa and Francois were fantastic and gave excellent recommendations for places to dine and sites to see. The rooms were spacious and delightful with large bathroom as well. If you are going to Rome this place... More

Thank you to the hotel owners for their hospitality and wonderful bed and breakfast accommodations. Great location, comfortable hotel and very helpful. Much appreciate the extra arrangements you set up as well (heater :)) ha, ha as it was unusually cold in Rome during our visit.

We were so happy to have stayed at the Nicholas Inn on our first visit to Rome. The "local knowledge" provided by Melissa was priceless, and just the kind of information you won't read in any tourist guidebooks. She gave us personalized attention that I have never experienced at any B&B or hotel; for example, I had a smoothie craving... More
