We found Nicolas Inn in the Rick Steves' guidebook and couldn't have been happier with our choice. We stayed here for 2 nights before starting a group tour of Italy. Nicolas Inn is a small B&B in a great location in Rome very close to the Colosseum, Forum and Metro stop. Francois and Melissa are great innkeepers. We got excellent... More

My wife and I stayed here in 2010. Lovely hosts and we were given great tips on fantastic Roman pizza and pasta! Great advice that kept us away from the tourist traps. A wonderful and cozy place to stay in the capital.

We stayed here for 3 nights and could not have been happier. It was a recommendation in the Rick Steves' guidebook and was a typical small B&B. The innkeepers (Francois and Melissa) were friendly and most helpful. The location was close to the Colosseum, Forum and Metro stop - all within walking distance. The offsite family run breakfast café was... More

Nicolas Inn is located in the heart of Rome so much so that we walked maybe 3 blocks and we were in the Roman Forum. Their location is fantastic for the traveler looking for a place withing walking distance. That wasn't what made the experience amazing but having two lovely people like Melissa and Francois was. She greeted us and... More

Nicholas Inn was the last stop on our Italian vacation, and the best hospitality we had! We arrived and were warmly greeted by Francois who promptly made us feel welcomed and at home! His dinner recommendations were excellent; and he kindly made reservations for us. Both he and Melissa were happy to offer advice and suggestions. We spent 3 nights... More

My wife and I spent two nights in a variety of spots in Italy, starting in Rome. The Nicolas Inn set the bar high for the remainder of the accommodations-great location near the ancient sites, welcoming and helpful staff, comfortable rooms, great restaurant recommendations....the list goes on. We found this hotel in Rick Steves travel guide, had a great experience... More

My husband and I spent four nights here and will definitely stay again when back in Rome. You can walk to everything if you want, but bus and taxi are both right around the corner. Melissa was stateside, and Francois was the perfect host. He made dinner reservations for us, had other suggestions for dining, was in his office each... More

Nicolas Inn was wonderful for us. There were four of us, two couples and it was our first time to Italy and Roma. I felt very safe and secure in the Inn. Nicolas was helpful with good eating places close(as mentioned walked us there to show us), with attractions and transportation to the airport. I loved our place, clean, quiet... More

We spent five nights at Nicolas Inn in June. Melissa, the co-owner was visiting her family in Chicago, so we won't get to meet her until next trip, but Francois could not have been nicer or more attentive. Lots of innkeepers can point out good places to eat on a map, but how many walk there with you and introduce... More
