Our Frommers guide did not let us down with a recommendation for this small B&B. They answered a lot of questions via e-mail. We had a great room and we really liked the bathroom. Breakfast was at a café down the block which worked out great. We would stay again. More

Melissa walked us around for just a bit to show us the locations of her recommended restaurants and the supermarkets, which was great! The location was great, the apartment was spacious, and the air conditioner and newer windows made for pleasantly quiet nights. I'm so glad we stayed here! More

Our first stop was Nicolas Inn after our overnight flight to Rome. The room was perfect - clean, quiet, and a great place to recharge before launcing into to our sightseeing. Melissa was a wonderful hostess, gracious and accomodating with terrific recommendations for dining in local restaurants. My husband and I thoroughly enjoyed our stay and will definitely be back. We just returned from a three day stay at the Nicolas Inn and we will certainly be staying there again for our next visit! The location is perfect--just a short walk to everything. We wanted a stress-free stay and Melissa, our host made it possible. She made us feel at home from the moment we were greeted. And she helped... More

Melissa and Francois are wonderful hosts; they told us good places to go for dinner that were good and not tourist traps. The breakfast vouchers for the cafe down the street were great, we could have whatever we wanted. Pastries galore! I could not have been happier with the location as well - go down half a block and look... More

This was our first visit to Rome. We spent two nights post transatlantic cruise at this hidden gem. The room was comfortable and very clean. The location excellent for touring - around the corner from the Colosseum. Still, the favorite aspect of our stay was our charming hostess, Melissa. She was lovely, accomodating and offered up excellent suggestions for dinner.... More

From our spacious and comfortable room, we could look out onto Via Cavour, a slice of Rome conveniently located near the Forum, the Coliseum, and Palatine Hill. Melissa and Francois were extremely helpful even before we got there, helping with logistics (like returning after a night tour of the Vatican) and recommending a great tour group – Through Eternity. They... More

Nicolas Inn is a cozy little home in the center of ancient Rome. Melissa and Francois are excellent, attentive, responsive hosts. The rooms are fairly sized, for a good price, and in a location that you can't beat. Added benefits were that a nice breakfast was included in the rate, and Melissa left out fresh chocolate cake every night for... More

We stayed in a one bedroom apartment (opposite Nicolas Inn) with a king size bed for 3 nights in September 2011 for part of our honeymoon trip to Rome. Before we arrived, Francois and Melissa had sent us detailed email information about the apartment and also clear instructions as to how to find them when we arrived at the train... More
