Good location near Termini if taking Metro or buses Location is safe and restaurants across the street Friendly staff Elevator Small room but clean and comfortable Not sure if A/C works well, we didn't need but it is available Quiet, did not hear street noise. Free wifi worked well In room fridge and TV seemed to work but we did... More

Stayed with my daughter, aged 14. Not a great start as our double room was unavailable due to a storm the previous night knocking out the aircon on the whole of one floor, so we were given 2 singles on the 2nd floor, not adjoining, which I was naturally a little concerned about, but it didn't cause any problems in... The hotel is close to Roma Termini, there are many great restaurants near the hotel. The receptionist (Marco) is really a nice and humble person, he gave good tips to traveling in Rome. For breakfast, it's sufficient, not many choices available, only cereals, many kinds of bread, pie, and cakes. The cappuccino from the machine is really great, every morning... More

We stayed at this hotel because of the proximity to the train terminal. We needed to get to the airport early and this location was perfect. The hotel is tiny and the rooms are extremely small. It was fine to sleep at for one night, but would not stay longer. The wifi worked fine and the bathroom was very clean.... More

Stayed only for one night. Checked in very late, so i assume their reception is open 24/7. The room was spacious and very clean. Air Conditioning worked perfectly and bathroom was tidy. Breakfast was good (besides the coffee automat gave horrible coffee) and we got to keep our luggage in storage while roaming the city after check out. Service was... More

We stayed here for our first trip to Rome. We loved the location. Always easy to take the Metro or the bus to the Termini area. The hotel is just blocks away. At night the area is filled with people dining outside bistro style. The rooms were very clean. All the staff was helpful with any questions we had. We... More

The hotel is well situated near the train station. We arrived at 11 in the morning, and the room was ready, which is extremely nice - most hotels won't let you into a room until 13 or 14 o'clock. The room was small, but nice, airconditioned and clean. WiFi was OK. The only drawback was the breakfast - not much... More

Serena hotel is a very good hotel and it's quiet near to some of Rome's attraction such as the colosseum and alter of the fatherland. Everything is reachable within walking distance from the hotel. Staff members are very friendly and helpful as well and are good in assisting any guests. I would recommend this hotel to anyone who is visiting... More

This hotel is very clean! The staff are wonderful too. And it is most convenient to everything in Rome as it is but a couple of short blocks from Termini Station and all of the city buses. The only downside, to me, is that the mattress was very hard.

Spent 2 nights at the hotel with my family from 17th June. We needed 2 rooms and on booking asked for rooms close together. Request was met, with rooms adjacent. On arrival, the reception was welcoming. The rooms were a little tired, with a couple of areas where wallpaper was pealing from the walls. However, the rooms were spotlessly clean... More

Staying in Esquilino

Neighborhood Profile
Esquilino
Old school vibe from the very beginning is the only way to describe the Esquilino neighborhood. The Esquilino takes pride in being one of the oldest areas in Rome for its key location on one of the city’s famous seven hills. From an ancient neighborhood to its modern incarnation as a multicultural hub, Esquilino always has something going on—polyglot vendors debate street artists while kids play pick-up basketball games. Look around you: this area isn’t like the historic center. Liberty architecture, large piazzas, and long boulevards mix with archaic arches, secret side alleys, and beautiful churches like Santa Maria Maggiore.
