This hotel is very clean! The staff are wonderful too. And it is most convenient to everything in Rome as it is but a couple of short blocks from Termini Station and all of the city buses. The only downside, to me, is that the mattress was very hard.

Spent 2 nights at the hotel with my family from 17th June. We needed 2 rooms and on booking asked for rooms close together. Request was met, with rooms adjacent. On arrival, the reception was welcoming. The rooms were a little tired, with a couple of areas where wallpaper was pealing from the walls. However, the rooms were spotlessly clean... More

The hotel is centrally located about a 5 minute walk from Rome Termini Railway Station. The entrance to the hotel can prove a bit of a challenge to find for the first time which is located in a busy side street amongst other hotels, restaurants and bars etc. Our room was clean and comfortable with air conditioning which made it... Stayed for a long weekend. The hotel is ideally placed for accessing the train and bus station and easily walkable. Hotel itself is a bit basic with a very hard bed! Breakfast wasnt great but was edible and plentiful. There is no bar or restaurant but there are lots of restaurants in the surrounding streets. Would recommend taking the open... More

Hotel Serena is only in a good location and has friendly and polite staffs.WiFi has very weak signal. The elevator is ancient and bizarre. The air dry is terrible .Very expensive value for price paid.Air conditioning did not work well. One number of room door was fixed with paper.

Very good location, near Termini station. Clean and comfortable room but cooking smell from near restaurants. Very stylish elevator. Large and nice bathroom with towels changed daily. Breakfast needs to be improved. A few tv channels and only in italian.

This is a great little hotel near termini station. Plenty of restaurants in the area, & the hotel staff will recommend one if asked. The area around the hotel itself is great for just walking in the evening and enjoying the atmosphere. Morning buffet at the hotel was very good. The room, while small was great.

We stayed here during a 1 day transit stop over in Rome. The Hotel is walkable from Termini station and therefore great for Airport and Metro system. The surrounding area is full of restaurants and the main Rome attractions are walkable (if you like to walk) or hop on the Metro system (5 mins away).

Six of us came here for a birthday over the Easter week. Hotel very easy to find once we got off the coach from the airport, very friendly and helpful staff especially on reception and very clean bedrooms and hotel. Walking distance to most attractions however we got a 48 hour bus ticket and caught the bus from just near... More

My train arrived late at Termini and I didn't know exactly how far the hotel would be. But in 5 minutes you can go from your seat in the train to the front desk of the hotel. I had to be up early for a flight, and as promised, the wake-up call arrived on time. The breakfast staff let me... More

Staying in Esquilino

Neighborhood Profile
Esquilino
Old school vibe from the very beginning is the only way to describe the Esquilino neighborhood. The Esquilino takes pride in being one of the oldest areas in Rome for its key location on one of the city’s famous seven hills. From an ancient neighborhood to its modern incarnation as a multicultural hub, Esquilino always has something going on—polyglot vendors debate street artists while kids play pick-up basketball games. Look around you: this area isn’t like the historic center. Liberty architecture, large piazzas, and long boulevards mix with archaic arches, secret side alleys, and beautiful churches like Santa Maria Maggiore.
