This is a great little hotel near termini station. Plenty of restaurants in the area, & the hotel staff will recommend one if asked. The area around the hotel itself is great for just walking in the evening and enjoying the atmosphere. Morning buffet at the hotel was very good. The room, while small was great.

We stayed here during a 1 day transit stop over in Rome. The Hotel is walkable from Termini station and therefore great for Airport and Metro system. The surrounding area is full of restaurants and the main Rome attractions are walkable (if you like to walk) or hop on the Metro system (5 mins away).

Six of us came here for a birthday over the Easter week. Hotel very easy to find once we got off the coach from the airport, very friendly and helpful staff especially on reception and very clean bedrooms and hotel. Walking distance to most attractions however we got a 48 hour bus ticket and caught the bus from just near... More

My train arrived late at Termini and I didn't know exactly how far the hotel would be. But in 5 minutes you can go from your seat in the train to the front desk of the hotel. I had to be up early for a flight, and as promised, the wake-up call arrived on time. The breakfast staff let me... More

Good service and well kept for a fairly low sum of money. The staff is also excellent and very friendly. Been there more than once and I was never let down. It is very close to the vatican and hence convenient if you're exploring that area.

This hotel is conveniently located, and is great value. The only downsides being internet issues and the breakfast being overcrowded. The front desk staff were friendly and the room was very good. We would stay here again.

Small room but very clean with clean towels every day. The television should be changed for a flat screen and have a lot more channels. The reception desk was very pleasant. The downside was the breakfast. Very little choice and not enough tables for the amount of guests.

My sister and I traveled from USA and stayed here for our first two nights of our trip and we loved our room, breakfast, and Marco at the front desk! All the staff was very attentive! Both the room and bathroom were very clean and comfortable.

We stayed at Hotel Serena for three nights. This is an affordable hotel, a few minutes walk from the Roma Termini station. I guess for the price we weren't quite expecting luxury, however a few things to note... (1) The area is not very nice but you can stroll into the city centre in 20-30 minutes (2) The room is... Staying in Esquilino

Neighborhood Profile
Esquilino
Old school vibe from the very beginning is the only way to describe the Esquilino neighborhood. The Esquilino takes pride in being one of the oldest areas in Rome for its key location on one of the city’s famous seven hills. From an ancient neighborhood to its modern incarnation as a multicultural hub, Esquilino always has something going on—polyglot vendors debate street artists while kids play pick-up basketball games. Look around you: this area isn’t like the historic center. Liberty architecture, large piazzas, and long boulevards mix with archaic arches, secret side alleys, and beautiful churches like Santa Maria Maggiore.
