My husband and I and friends stayed here before and after a Mediterranean Cruise. The room was clean, the breakfast was very good, especially the pound cake and cappuccino. The concierge was very helpful and had a great personality. There were many restaurants nearby and the train station was only 2 blocks away.

Room very clean and well furniture. Very helpful and friendly staff with good advices. The hotel is very well located. Things to improve : Mattress was really very hard (But really was not very annoying).

Stayed here for 4 nights, single room, which was small - but I was only there to sleep, so didn't notice it much. Had fridge - great for storing water, fruit, which can be bought around the corner in the supermarket,- TV all the usual. Location is great, get 40/64 bus to the Vatican - €1.50 each way. Bathroom was... More

Just finished my second stay at the Serena Hotel. I was in a singe room for 14 days and although the room is small it offered all the amenities that I required. Free Wi-Fi internet, fridge, excellent shower with good pressure etc. The room is kept spotlessly clean and towels and minimal toiletries are replenished daily. The location is central... More

Small room but clean. Very friendly staff. Average breakfast but everything you would expect. Great location, loads of busy restaurants outside, 10 minute walk to colosseum, right beside central train/bus station. €30 taxi ride from Champino airport. Worth it.

PROS: 1. The hotel isn't in a "horrible" area, as some reviewers have stated, and it is convenient to Stazione Termini for transportation purposes. CONS: 1. There is nowhere to place your luggage or stand in the reception area if there are more than two other people there...it's THAT tiny. 2. When we went to check in, a woman behind... More

The hotel is very close to Termini train station which is an area of many small hotels and overrun by tourists and people trying to sell items to those tourists. It's not a very nice area for a relaxing stay but is convenient to central transportation. As for the hotel, let's start with the positives: For the most part, the... More

Can't fault the location, a couple of minutes walk from Termini railway station and only 15-20 minutes walk from the Forum. Plenty of good restaurants in the area without needing to eat in the centre of the city in the evening. Staff pleasant enough and a good continental breakfast included with the price with a genuine coffee machine providing the... More

If you are planning on making extensive use of Termini station (i.e. Leonardo express to/from the airport and both metro lines) then Serena presents a good budget option if you wish to stay in Rome, as the hotel is only 5 mins walk from Termini. The hotel is also within walking distance of most of the major attractions, barring the... More

The hotel is VERY well situated for those with a train to catch at Termini station, just a short 2 block walk (less than 5 minutes on foot). The street outside is lined with restaurants and cafes, giving many choices to visitors to choose from. It was only a short 20-40 minute talk to most of the major tourist attractions... More
