After reading reviews on here I was getting very worried about this hotel leading up to the trip! Two downsides to this hotel are 1. The location and 2 the restaurant. however, the location is over come by the fact that the hotel runs a shuttle service into the centre of the city for 3 euros per person. It runs... More

After reading the reviews on here I have to say I was nervous about visiting this hotel. I bought a deal from Groupon as a cheap honeymoon for myself and my hubby. Upon arrival the receptionist spoke better English than I did Italian and booked us in with no problems. The room was clean and fairly modern with a large... More

We initially got a deal on the Rouge et Noir through Groupon for 3 nights. We booked an additional night after our flights were changed at the last minute (no names but I am sure most of you can imagine who). Firstly, the hotel is not the easiest to get to. The easiest metro train station stop is about 8... More

I was in this hotel with Groupon voucher. Before to go I read all reviews and little worry about it. In reality this hotel is good enough, staff on reception and in the restaurant are very friendly and helpful. Our room was cleaned every day and towels were changed every day also. As we spent all time in the city... More

We refered to Trip Advisor to look up this Hotel before we left and there were mixed reviews. We were there for 3 nights on a Groupon break and found that yes it was a way out of Rome itself, but it wasn't that bad around 20 minutes to get in by minibus. Most places in Rome are a nightmare... More

The staff cannot be any nicer and friendlier, but the hotel is too far from the most relevant places at the Città eterna: one needs to take their shuttle (6€ return, with three set times during the day to go and get back), hire a taxi, use the public transport or just take a very long walk. Breakfast is poor,... More

DO NOT STAY AT THIS HOTEL!!!! Firstly the hotel is MILES away from the centre and the bus comes and goes as it pleases with seemingly no timetable. The reception - make sure you take confirmation of what you are to pay as the reception threatened to call the police as we refused to pay the £50 extra they had... More

Can't say much about the hotel. Staff wasn't too bad, but hotel shows signs of poor maintenance. Overall, good place to sleep if you don't mind a long trip to the city center. More

Many people says "this hotel isn´t 4 stars". But it is. All, that have to be in 4 stars hotel are there. You can stay here, rooms are nice and clean (not too small). Yes, there can be a problem with older of the building - in some places the plaster peel of, one of elevatores is a bit noisy... More

We booked this through Groupon, so based on the fact was a great deal, we thought was really good value for money! When you go to rome, MAJORITY of the time it is for the site seeing, so generally the hotel is just a place to sleep anyway, and the hotel was absolutely fine for this use. We were on... More
