I'll start by saying if you need a quick stay, it's ok, but more than that go to another neighbourhood, this area, because of its proximity to Terminal, it's full of tourist traps, average to less than ave food, SUPER overpriced. The pictures make it seem like it's a big place, but seriously, it is the second floor of a... More

The hotel is very well located near the rebullica metro station. The hotel is a little difficult to find at first, but fine once you are familiar with it. Plenty of restaurants and bars nearby too. Staff were generally very helpful although asking for another pillow I got a sceptical look. Biggest drawbacks are an average breakfast and if you... More

I booked this hotel for a short trip to Rome and I got so lucky, managing to get the last available room for the dates I wanted. The owners are so lovely and I was greeted by the lady who owns the hotel with her husband. She was very welcoming and sweet, and offered advice for non-touristy places to eat... More

This was our first experience of a 3 star hotel. We decided to stay there because of top reviews and its location. I have to say that we didn't regret it. The hotel is not easy to find, but thanks to other reviews we managed rather quickly. The gentleman at the reception saw that we were coming and rushed downstairs... More

A central location, with very helpful staff who couldn't do enough for us, including restaraunt recommendations. We had booked what we thought was a quad room, but it turned out to be a suite of rooms with a dining area and fridge, huge hall, double bedroom and twin room. The rooms were full of beautiful furniture and vaulted ceilings. My... More

This hotel is a gem, situated in a residential apartment building. Extremely spacious suite, clean & quiet. Convenient to train & subway stops & an excellent central location, which is walking distance (<40 min.) to most major tourist sites. Buffet breakfast offered nice selection of pastries, yogurt, cheese, hot drinks. Only negative was the showerhead which kept flopping down. Highly... More

Very nice location, close to Termini Station and within walking distance from the main sightseeing. The hotel has its own style and charm. The staff is very welcoming, helpful and friendly. The lady even came down and helped us with the luggage and lift. The breakfast was simple, but tasty. The room was clean, not very big, but cosy with... More

In 10 min from Termini there is a nice hotel. Suddenly all rooms were repaired well. Room for 3 people were quite big, clean and well furnished. WiFi is fine. I'd like to thank Anna from cafe! She came at 6.30 to bake croissants for us cause we had early morning flight. I recommend you this hotel!

The location is awesome,we have all that we have outside,near... the owners are really nice and friendly, the rooms were spotlessly clean. We didn't have a reservation, ours were canceled one night before in a hotel near " gea di vulcano hotel" ,and still, the lady owner treated us like we did. The reception its opened 24H and they speak really nice... More

Staying in Esquilino

Neighborhood Profile
Esquilino
Old school vibe from the very beginning is the only way to describe the Esquilino neighborhood. The Esquilino takes pride in being one of the oldest areas in Rome for its key location on one of the city’s famous seven hills. From an ancient neighborhood to its modern incarnation as a multicultural hub, Esquilino always has something going on—polyglot vendors debate street artists while kids play pick-up basketball games. Look around you: this area isn’t like the historic center. Liberty architecture, large piazzas, and long boulevards mix with archaic arches, secret side alleys, and beautiful churches like Santa Maria Maggiore.
