If you're travelling to Rome for the weekend, this hotel is great. Quiet ,convenient and clean. Monti is a fabulous area to stay in as you are close to everything and all major sites are easily accessible. Check-in went perfectly, all staff are extremely friendly and helpful. Some things worth noting so there are no surprises: - My friend and... More

I have been to this B&B twice 9 years ago, loved the location very much because it is close to the Colosseum. I hated its breakfast because you could only get a few slices of bread, butter and jam. But we kept the choice due to laziness (didn't want to search again )and the price was also cheap. I booked... More

So starting with the best things; the location is very very good! In the heart of Monti district, just 7-8 walking minutes from the Colosseo and San. Pietro Basilisc and surrounded by many small designer shops and cafes. Sounds amazing and it is really amazing. Coming to the not so good things; and I used not so good on purpose!... More

We arrived for the final night of our honeymoon. As you will have read already no doubt the 'hotel' as a reception in another building, that doesn't matter. On arrival after finding the hotel difficult to locate (not the hotels fault) we were greeted by a very nice young lady who explained that our room wasn't ready and come back... More

Great Location! nice, friendly and helpful reception, very good value for money. the best location in Rome, amazing street. The room is spacious, cozy and with an air conditioning. The hot water in shower is not enough and run out very quickly. There is wifi only in the reception. We will definitely come back and recommend this B&B to all... More

It's located in a quiet street in the district of Rione Monti. You can easily get there by Metro (stop at Cavour) or by bus (No64 in Via Nazionale). Reception is at Hotel Antica Locanda which is just a few metres up. Rooms are quite small but nicely decorated. Our shower was powerful. We had to change the room because... More

Arrived to find a note on the door, telling us reception was located at the hotel a block up the road, which was a bit worrying at first, seeing as we had booked on Priceline, but no cause for alarm - they just share a reception. Friendly staff at reception and they let us leave our bags until check in... More

Great location, close to the Coliseum, Termini. The area is very safe and relaxing atmosphere with antique shops, cafes, gourmet deserts and ice-cream just around the corner. Breakfast is served in a café nearby , just coffee and croissants, but that's not a standard American Breakfast- a good European Breakfast. Cappuccino was perfect!!! Loved the location- right around the corner... More

We stayed at Il Covo on May 16, 2014, a few nights ago. On our first night after a long trip we arrived at the hotel and at 1:am as I went to the bathroom, I found the whole floor flooded with water. My husband went to the reception which was a block away and asked for help. At first... More

What is great about this place is the location... is a 17 minute walk from Stazione Termini (main train and bus station), and even when it doesn't look like it at a first glimpse, it's safe. It's also 4 blocks away from one metro station that will take you to a lot of places, and about 6 blocks away from... More

Staying in Monti

Neighborhood Profile
Monti is Rome’s rebel yell. This neighborhood just west of Termini train station mixes grit with fun as it continues to fight for its reputation as a magnet for the artsy, alternative, and hipster. Every season, quirky boutiques and food spots sprout up on its cobblestone streets. The neighborhood supports unique and homegrown businesses that cater to its longtime residents as well as hipsters on the hunt. Hang out at Piazza della Madonna dei Monti anytime after lunch and you'll always find something going on.
