I loved the Hotel Forte, it is set in a quaint roman street 2 minutes walk from the Spanish Steps and Metro. The hotel is on the 1st floor of an old palazzo, with a delightful wrought iron spiral staircase and lift. Our twin room was number 140, it was very quiet and looked onto a courtyard ( not the... more

Our stay at Hotel Forte could not have been better, and we loved the hotel's location. It was a very short walk to the spanish steps and the local metro station, and was within walking distance of the Trevi Fountain and the Piaza del Popolo. Our room was spotless and pleasant, and we never found it to be unduly noisy.... more

We picked the Hotel Forte for its top location on the beautiful Via Margutta just a couple of blocks from the Spanish Steps. The staff was very friendly and helpful but the room was tiny - I mean TINY...it was clean, the teensy marble bath was clean - but there was barely room to turn around. Unfortunately I would not... more

Location was good, the staff was not helpfull at all, Booked a doble room they gave us a room that a single bed barely fit in. Staff seemed like you were bothering them when you asked them a question more

My sister booked a room for me and my husband at this hotel for 110 Euros (which was within our budget) on our recent trip to Italy. The hotel part at Hotel Forte was ok, they have apt. style rooms (these aren't as nice) we had to stay at this hotel twice during our stay in Italy, so we got... more

We stayed at the Hotel Forte and had a terrible first night. The polarised views of the Hotel became rapidly clearer. When we first arrived they said they had a room for us on the same level - this was so small that we couldn't open a medium sized suitcase in, so we asked if there was a larger room.... more

We have just returned from our trip to Italy which included Rome, Tuscany and Positano. Traveling in Italy is hard work. In each of these places the driving was ridiculous, the cabs rip you off left and right ,people give the most ridiculous directions and the maps around town are off scale so even traveling on foot is tough. But all... more

we requested a room to sleep 4ppl, and the hotel booked us in an apartment that was 2 blocks from the hotel...ok, no problem. BUT, when we checked in, we were given a map to get to the apartment, a ring with 6 keys, and 3 of them had to be used to get into different parts of the building... more

Hello, I would like to thank Hotel Forte Staff the the wonderful stay, although only for 1 night the people were SUPERB! I had to stay for one night in Rome because my passport was expired and I had to renew it the following day. I went to the consulate of Spain and waitted until 13:30. The staff at the... more

In November 2006, I reserved a room with Hotel Forte for a 1-day stay in May 2007, confirmed with a credit card. In March, 2007, I RECONFIRMED the reservation. Upon arrival, I was told that there had been a "problem" with reservations -- which the individual at the desk would not define -- and the hotel would not honor my... more
