Spent countless hours trying to find a suitable hotel in Rome for 2 novice travellers.Once we established Hotel Forte was in a great spot we went for it. We arrived to a warm welcome from very helpful staff who walked us through everything from hotel facilities and the local tourist sites.Given that it is a stones throw from the Spanish... more

Good location, not luxury nor silent, but if you need a good base for exploring Rome you could do a lot worse. The lack of restaurant forces culinary exploration and there is plenty near by. Rooms are designed for sleeping, we didn't hear any noise and I haven't slept as well in years. Not excessively stylish, but practical. more

The best thing going for this hotel is its location in Via Margutta where Felini lived. It’s just a couple of blocks from Piazza di Spagna and the Spanish Steps. Lots of smart shops and good restaurants are in the area. Piazza del Popolo, the Tiber River and the Ara Pacis are a short walk. Some of the attractions a... more

October 6, 2008 We booked our rooms months in advance. We were traveling with my 80 year old mother and requested 2 separate rooms. One double for single use and a large double for 2 persons. The room for her was extremely small, could not open the suitcase except for on the bed. Our room was also small and a... more

Forte Winks or 40 winks were just about the amount of sleep we got in this hotel. Maybe its because we arrived late in the day, although we booked months previously and gave notice of our 8pm arrival time, but we were given the room backing onto their reception. The room was small and poorly lit, but clean and decorated... more

Our stay at Hotel Forte was absolutely fabulous. I contacted the hotel prior to our departure to have them send a car to meet us at the airport. As we walked out of arrivals the hotel car service was there to help with luggage and escort us to the car. Upon arrival at the hotel (which is in the best... more

I stayed at the Hotel Forte in June 2008. We found this place by accident – it was suggested to us by Franco (information guy at the Rome airport). I t was wonderful and what’s more, it has been recently renovated. The staff was mostly amazing especially the front desk folks, who were so helpful 24 hours a day. We... more

we arrived late but only had to press the intercom outside and say who we were and were let in immediately. went up in the ornate wrought iron lift to reception. signed in and taken to room which was more than adequate. 2 beds pushed together to make a really huge bed and good mattress, bathroom good although quite high... more

Would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone I knew. As soon as we arrived the front desk was extremley helpful with explaining everything and giving us a map of Rome advising us of the best places to eat and drink. The room was very Roman Italian and was a comfortable size although not very big. However, the room that we... more
