We stayed in this hotel for 5 days and four nights. We had the best experience from the staff, the room, and the surrounding areas. Everyone in hotel Forte is great (especial mention to Albertina :) and Sonia who served our daily breakfast as well as Angelo and Fabio (front desk clerk) who assisted us with our visit around Rome.... We stayed here 2 nights. The location is awesome- we walked almost everywhere from the hotel. It is very close to the Spagna metro station and we took the metro to the Vatican. Staff was very helpful, making good restaurant suggestions, making dinner reservations (which seem to be a "must" at Italian restaurants), and calling a cab to take us... More

Nice small hotel. Clean, good location. Nice breakfast included. Not a bad size room for a European hotel. Very nice staff. Would stay there again. Location is key. close to subway, hop on/off bus. Cool old fashioned elevator.

We spent part of our honeymoon 10 years ago at Hotel Forte and our only fear was that it wouldn't be as good as we remembered. Our worries were unfounded. The hotel is clean, nicely decorated, and comfortable. Every single member of the staff was helpful and friendly. One staff member made a great effort to help us find a... More

The service was top notch, yet welcoming. When we did ask for recommendations or help with finding locations outside the hotel & coordinating our rental car delivery, the staff was helpful and went beyond anything asked. The property was beautiful and located perfectly close to everything; Spanish Steps, miles of shopping, churches, museums, restaurants and various sites. The rooms were... More

Pros: 1. Just a stone's throw away from Spanish Steps and Spagna Metro station. 2. Good sized rooms Cons: 1. A bit expensive (I spent almost 250£ for two nights) 2. No free wi-fi 3. No electric kettle in the room so if you want to have tea or coffee after whole day of sight seeing, you have to order... More

Staying in Campo Marzio

Neighborhood Profile
Campo Marzio
From its original role as ancient army training fields to its present-day identity as one of the city’s most desirable neighborhoods, the Campo Marzio is the best place to get lost in Rome. Gorgeous Renaissance and Baroque palazzos line the streets, and are filled with enticing boutiques and food shops. By day, Rome’s best-dressed denizens criss-cross its streets in a fashionable parade of errands, occasionally pausing to look fabulous in gorgeous piazzas like San Lorenzo in Lucina. Campo Marzio can be a bit of a sleeper after aperitivi hour (9pm), so visit by day and experience the pulse of daytime Rome.
