best offer for a *** stars hotel in the heart of Rome; old building with nice furniture, authentic design, small but cosy room, clean, kind & friendly receptionists who offer you a lot of interesting and valuable information regarding your visit; you are 5 min walking distance to Fontana di Trevi, 3 min to Spanish steps, 10 min to Pantheon;... Primarily, I could not have asked for a better location. Just a 5 minute walk to the Spanish steps! Additionally, the street the hotel is located on was one of my favorite streets in all of Rome. It was decorated in green vines, a few local stores, and a restaurant that was abundant of local Italians eating and drinking wine.... More

This is a great little hotel in an excellent location if you want to be in the centre of Rome. It's just around the corner from the Spanish Steps and bang in the middle of the main shopping area, Via Condotti etc. it's in a lane so it's quiet and there are some nice restaurants in the the surrounding lanes.... I was there for a 3 days business trip in July, 2015 and really appreciated the place. The hotel comes in the real heart of Rome, just off 'Piazza di Spagna' and at walking distance from Piazza del Popolo. The facility is cozy but comfortable, staff is very friendly and open to meet guests requests (they kept my luggage for... More

I've stayed at this lovely hotel a few times, in a variety of rooms. The last couple of times I've had great rooms, with excellent bathrooms. The staff are always friendly and helpful and recognise that you've stayed before. The only slight problem is that it's a mobile phone reception black spot in some rooms, at least for the Italian... This small hotel is on lovely Via Margutta near the Spanish Steps and the shopping district of Rome. It's an easy walk to many sights, restaurants, and shops. Our room was tiny but clean. Bathroom small but adequate. WiFi costs extra and is very poor, so I don't recommend using it. Staff was polite and helpful. Breakfast included and good,... More

Very nice hotel. Clean, beautiful decor and very friendly and helpful staff. Amazing location right near the Spanish Steps and the Metro to get you where you want to go. We shared a triple room, which was quite large with a good sized bathroom.

We stayed in this hotel for 5 days and four nights. We had the best experience from the staff, the room, and the surrounding areas. Everyone in hotel Forte is great (especial mention to Albertina :) and Sonia who served our daily breakfast as well as Angelo and Fabio (front desk clerk) who assisted us with our visit around Rome.... We stayed here 2 nights. The location is awesome- we walked almost everywhere from the hotel. It is very close to the Spagna metro station and we took the metro to the Vatican. Staff was very helpful, making good restaurant suggestions, making dinner reservations (which seem to be a "must" at Italian restaurants), and calling a cab to take us... More

Staying in Campo Marzio

Neighborhood Profile
Campo Marzio
From its original role as ancient army training fields to its present-day identity as one of the city’s most desirable neighborhoods, the Campo Marzio is the best place to get lost in Rome. Gorgeous Renaissance and Baroque palazzos line the streets, and are filled with enticing boutiques and food shops. By day, Rome’s best-dressed denizens criss-cross its streets in a fashionable parade of errands, occasionally pausing to look fabulous in gorgeous piazzas like San Lorenzo in Lucina. Campo Marzio can be a bit of a sleeper after aperitivi hour (9pm), so visit by day and experience the pulse of daytime Rome.
