Location San Lorenzo is the University Area of Rome. By night you'll venture out and see a lot of the cities youth scattered at Bars. By day it's very busy with families and seems primarily focused on locals. It is a bit far from the main attractions of the city. Stayed here over Valentines weekend with T. We had a... More

We recently stayed at Dalmati House on November 1, 2014, on our final leg of our family trip to Italy. We booked this via Hotels.com. I paid them in advance. When we arrived Dalmati House claimed there was an issue with the payment and demanded my credit card to pay. Later that evening I called Hotels.com and realized I just... More

Stayed here in 5 person apartment for 3 nights. Apartment is new, modern and fresh with nice big beds, flat screen TV and lovely bathrooms. Location is ok with nearby connections to tram and bus into city centre. Neighbourhood a bit run down. Breakfast included is a joke as its only make your own coffee & toast in a package.... More

We have been here in holiday, just for one night. Our apartment, placed in the groundfloor, was absolutely amazing, comfortable and unpredictably luxury, similar to a 5 star. High-quality bed, nice bathroom with showergels, shampoo and towels with the brand "DH". Also the shower was perfect. Kitchen in good conditions, with new components. The only disadvantage is the quarter, not... More

The staff were al very friendly and polite the room itself was modern but not very up to standard. Everyday the beds were made but... More

Pleasant stay in Dalmati House. Met the owner and front desk staff all very helpful. Rooms are clean and big equipped with hot shower. Location is about 13min walk to Termini station.Suburb is safe and there are a few restaurants and convenient stores around. Downside: Internet is provided free however the connection is not strong enough to cover the whole... More

This place is so clean and modern that you just don't expect it when you arrive in the area. Isaac was just the most pleasant and helpful person you could hope to meet. The location is ok,only a short 15 minute stroll to the train station, but it makes up for the distance from the main tourist hub in price... More

Staying in San Lorenzo

Neighborhood Profile
San Lorenzo
San Lorenzo may look all street with its pulse in urban art and street food, but don’t be fooled. This gritty student neighborhood immediately east of Termini train station is on the avant-garde rise. Art galleries, curated mural projects by artists like Rome’s favorite Alice, charming cafes, and boutique restaurants are slowly infiltrating the streets of San Lorenzo with counter-culture chic. Don’t worry, San Lorenzo still retains its local vibe with weekend festivals and demonstrations, and is always a hub for Rome’s university student scene.
