Yes you do check in down the street at the second floor of hotel miami. I chose this hotel because of the price and walking distance to the train station. 15 minute walk to the Coliseum. Great location nice bathroom big bed and great security. every TV station is Italian but you're in Rome you don't need TV :-) other... More

I wouldn't call it a hotel, since there is no proper reception desk. The hotel is located inside a building what it ends up looking more like a guesthouse than a hotel, and no way it can be a 3 stars hotel. BUT, it attends those who are looking for a clean room close to the station without paying a... More

I emailed well in advance to ensure there were no steps or stairs that my 77 year old mother would have to go up. I was assured there were none. That was not the case - there were 2 separate places where we had to go up steps to get to our room. We were also told that our room... More

The location of the hotel is excellent, since it is in the city center. However, there is no service from the evening to the morning, and one of the nights, an alarm started ringing and there was no one there to turn it off. Another night, the lights went off and it was impossible to contact the hotel employees. Wifi... More

Booked early and got a wonderful deal on this hotel. The pictures shown are quite plain and I was nervous. It was a lovely big room with a perfect location right on a main shopping street. Though they don't serve breakfast, we found our place very close by that met our needs perfectly. Walking into the building, marble is everywhere... More

The hotel Location is perfecto! near Termini Station and Piazza della Republica. Just on the main road of the Via Nazionale. Next to the hotel main entrance you can find the bus stop, a super market and many shopping stores. The room was quiet spacious. Private bathroom. Clean and neat with AC. we stayed five days nights. They did not... More

We booked a trip to Rome for 4 nights at hotel Regina Giovanni. I was very sceptic about the room, because of the pictures I saw online. But I have to say, it wasn't that awfull at all. The hotel is easy to find and is located on a busy street. You can walk it within 10 minutes from Rome... More

Good price. But.... A/C did not work, phone didn't work, internet didn't work, no tv, no outlets working, no light in hallway, door looked like it had been kicked in and the staff could care less!! The only good thing I have to say is the room was big and clean, close to Termini and great Irish pub, Flann O'Brien's,... More

The hotel is a decently short walk from Termini, though relatively hard to find. There is a small sign out front, but not obvious compared to other hotels in the area. Room was small, but adequate. Not exceptionally clean. Window looked into what seemed to be a maintenance shaft. Staff were friendly and helpful. No breakfast.

We stayed at the hotel for 3 nights. The location is perfect: Roma Termini railway - 10 minutes walk, Colosseum: 20 minutes walk, Metro station Republica - 5 minutes walk. The rooms mostly come out to Via Nazionale, but there are no any noise, because all the room have double windows. Staff is very friendly, english speaking. If you want... More

Staying in Monti

Neighborhood Profile
Monti is Rome’s rebel yell. This neighborhood just west of Termini train station mixes grit with fun as it continues to fight for its reputation as a magnet for the artsy, alternative, and hipster. Every season, quirky boutiques and food spots sprout up on its cobblestone streets. The neighborhood supports unique and homegrown businesses that cater to its longtime residents as well as hipsters on the hunt. Hang out at Piazza della Madonna dei Monti anytime after lunch and you'll always find something going on.
