Definitely a good option for those on a budget. The location on Via Nazionale is central being not a wick 5 min walk from the termini station and less than 10mins to the pantheon and Fontana di trevi. Via Nazionale has many cafes, bars and restaurants though you may have to travel one or two streets back to find something... More

The location of this hotel is excellent as it is very close to the train/bus station and within walking distance of all of the main tourist attractions of Rome. The rooms are clean and quiet but you get what you pay for size wise. If you're not looking for luxury but for somewhere good to base busy days sight seeing... More

If you are travelling to eat out, see the sights and sites and to use this as a place to sleep - then it is fantastic. You get a basic room with a tv and bathroom. There is a snack and drinks machine available in the foyer but nothing that I would call it a hotel. The building (shared by... More

The hotel is located downtown. You are paying for the location nothing else since you only get basic necessities (internet and a bed). Our room had a window looking out at another building wall. The bathroom was really spacious, one of the most spacious we have had in Europe. The front desk (located in a different building) was OK. The... More

pros Room and bathroom was spacious for 3 people. It was very clean. We liked that the windows had shutters, so the morning sun didnt wake us up. It was quiet though very central. The guy who made the check in and check out was very friendly. First hotel we stayed in with so many sockets. We liked that everyone... More

The place is very good value for money, room was clean and the building was authentic. Only thing you need to get direction from management before you arrive as the reception & rooms are split between two different buildings on the street. its very near from Termini station though, you won't need to take transportation from there if you have... Yes you do check in down the street at the second floor of hotel miami. I chose this hotel because of the price and walking distance to the train station. 15 minute walk to the Coliseum. Great location nice bathroom big bed and great security. every TV station is Italian but you're in Rome you don't need TV :-) other... More

I wouldn't call it a hotel, since there is no proper reception desk. The hotel is located inside a building what it ends up looking more like a guesthouse than a hotel, and no way it can be a 3 stars hotel. BUT, it attends those who are looking for a clean room close to the station without paying a... More

I emailed well in advance to ensure there were no steps or stairs that my 77 year old mother would have to go up. I was assured there were none. That was not the case - there were 2 separate places where we had to go up steps to get to our room. We were also told that our room... More

Staying in Monti

Neighborhood Profile
Monti
Monti is Rome’s rebel yell. This neighborhood just west of Termini train station mixes grit with fun as it continues to fight for its reputation as a magnet for the artsy, alternative, and hipster. Every season, quirky boutiques and food spots sprout up on its cobblestone streets. The neighborhood supports unique and homegrown businesses that cater to its longtime residents as well as hipsters on the hunt. Hang out at Piazza della Madonna dei Monti anytime after lunch and you'll always find something going on.
