Great little hostel located just next to the railway station in the centre of Rome. The rooms are simple but very clean, and offer all you need for a few days stay in the city. The staff was very friendly and simple breakfast was included as well. Given the average price level in Rome, this hostel was the best deal... More

I selected this hotel because it was around 50 EUR per day. Which is not very cheap but still under my budget. But I will not stay in this place if it is even free. You are risking you life. No basic service, no breakfast, no tv, no cleaning and no new towel are few among the many problem this... More

This place should not be considered a B&B. We booked this place due to the affordability, location, breakfast included, and english-speaking staff. When we arrived, no one spoke any english. At all. The staff was pleasant, but not helpful. We also did not expect the tourist tax to be as high as it was. Online, it noted a 2euro tourist... More

Staying in Esquilino

Neighborhood Profile
Old school vibe from the very beginning is the only way to describe the Esquilino neighborhood. The Esquilino takes pride in being one of the oldest areas in Rome for its key location on one of the city’s famous seven hills. From an ancient neighborhood to its modern incarnation as a multicultural hub, Esquilino always has something going on—polyglot vendors debate street artists while kids play pick-up basketball games. Look around you: this area isn’t like the historic center. Liberty architecture, large piazzas, and long boulevards mix with archaic arches, secret side alleys, and beautiful churches like Santa Maria Maggiore.
