Overall the Hotel was very good for the £30 a night price we paid. We stayed for 2 nights. There were, however, a couple of issues which were exacerbated by having an unmanned reception. Firstly, we were told that we would have to change room during our stay. As the reception desk is not manned we were expected to leave... More

We stayed here for 3 night and we were happy with our choice. The place has perfect location, you can walk to Termini station or in the center or other metro stations. The room was nice and clean every time, the shower is fantastic :-) The owners are very friendly and helpful. They gave us map and showed how and... More

Average apartment in private building on 5th floor. Close to Termini station. Close to markets and restaurants. 20 minutes walk from landmarks. Expected much more for 110 eur per night. No good value for such money. Tiny walls you can hear everything whats happening in apartment nearby. No receipt for apartment stay and city tax which is 3.5 eur per... More

This one is a gorgeous B&B right in the middle of Rome. It's relatively easy to find and a 10-minute walk from the Termini station. There's a convenient elevator for your luggage. The rooms are new, stylish and very very clean. Free Wi-Fi works great and the lighting is pretty romantic, especially in the bathroom. Windows are facing either a... More

Chroma Exy is a cozy B&B at Termini area --- Spacious and modern decorated rooms, really nice bathroom, some sensual lighting and very comfortable bed. The people that run the business have done excellent job Its a 5-8 mins walking from either Termini or Republicca station The road where the building is situated is quite odd and you have to... I read good reviews of this hotel and since the price was reasonable, we booked our stay in Rome. I wish that I had been told what to expect, however. We arrived after dark and were surprised and a little apprehensive about the place. The "hotel" is actually a few suites located on the 5th floor, I believe, of a... More

The room was clean and very tastefully done up. The location is great, right next to Roma Termini. Friendly staff. There are lots of cafes, shops and restaurants around. We would definitely stay here again.

Myself, my husband and 2 children, 9 & 11 stayed here last week for 3 nights and were not disappointed. The location is a short walk to a great size supermarket and to the metro and Termini, as well as many cafes and by evening time some lovely restaurants. The manager was very helpful, and on hand every morning til... More

We were very happy with this hotel. We got in a day late because our train from Paris broke down, but communication was good with the owners, so they held our room as requested and checked us in early when we arrived. We enjoyed the location very much - away from the busy streets and there is a very cute... More

Staying in Esquilino

Neighborhood Profile
Old school vibe from the very beginning is the only way to describe the Esquilino neighborhood. The Esquilino takes pride in being one of the oldest areas in Rome for its key location on one of the city’s famous seven hills. From an ancient neighborhood to its modern incarnation as a multicultural hub, Esquilino always has something going on—polyglot vendors debate street artists while kids play pick-up basketball games. Look around you: this area isn’t like the historic center. Liberty architecture, large piazzas, and long boulevards mix with archaic arches, secret side alleys, and beautiful churches like Santa Maria Maggiore.
