Giuseppe is so friendly and can't do enough to help out be it recommendations, booking tickets or directions. The apartment is beautifully decorated, immaculately clean and a friendly place to spend your relaxing time. It's also in a brilliant location, close to the colosseum and the forums with a tube stop at the end of the road and is in... More

Everything you have read is true! This perfectly located B and B is in the heart of Ancient Rome, no more than 5 minutes walk from the Colosseum and the Roman Forum, so you simply couldn't be any better placed. The rooms are modern, very comfortable and spotlessly clean, and the communal area for breakfast etc is no different. Breakfast... More

Giuseppe is the wonderful owner and gracious host of the Cibele Bed&Breakfast. This experience must be what it feels like to own a fabulous luxury apartment in the best neighborhood in Rome. And better still, you have your very dear friend Giuseppe to help you out with anything you may need. We couldn't ask for a better time. In fact,... More

I have no words to describe how special this review is... as you kindly underlined, I have made new friends and this has no price, no review and no vote applicable to it! It has been an amazing experience knowing you guys, since the day you first contacted me: apart from entertaining a nice and really pleasant exchange of emails... More

We wanted to try a new part of Rome and went with Cibele. Had a good talk with Giuseppe on email and arrived in the middle of December. Had a walktrough together and was informed of everything we should know about the area. The room and the place was amazing and taken care of every day. Giuseppe met us every... More

My wife and I stayed 4 nights in mid September. We're 50ish, and in pretty good shape for the 2 flights of stairs. Once in the unit, EVERYTHING was as expected. Our host is very kind and helpful for things to see and eat. Super clean, plenty of food for breakfast...self serve coffee, croissants, juices, toast, meats ect.... We would... More

I cannot recommend this place enough! We stayed here in June and our stay was perfect! The whole B&B is decorated tastefully and elegantly. Each room has its own theme, we stayed in the "Water" room and it was exquisite! It's a very spacious room with high ceilings and exposed brickwork on an accent wall, you can really feel the... We stayed at Cibele B&B at the end of June and I cannot recommend it enough. Not only are the rooms by far the largest that we stayed at during our trip in Italy but they décor is amazing and immaculately clean. The streets outside can get busy at night and the windows keep all the noise out you can't... More

We strongly recommend Cibele! Big, comfortable rooms (unlike the small, overpriced Rome hotel rooms) at a great location (a 7-10 minute walk to the Colosseum / Campidoglio). Giuseppe is a great host, with loads of helpful tips, especially if you are interested in discovering Rome off the beaten track!

We loved staying at Cibele B&B back in May, Giuseppe met us when we arrived (the B&B is only a 15 min walk from the train station-on cobbles). Giuseppe was a great host and he is obviously very passionate about Cibele and Rome and this is reflected in his wonderful decor, clean rooms and thoughtful details. We stayed in the... More

I enjoy staying in fine inns and hotels, but on this trip I was being budget-conscious. In Cibele I managed to find a rare gem. It's reasonably priced, with exceptional levels of service and comfort. I chose Cibele for its location in the ancient neighborhood of the Suburra, steeped in over 2000 years of history and walking distance to many... More

Staying in Monti

Neighborhood Profile
Monti
Monti is Rome’s rebel yell. This neighborhood just west of Termini train station mixes grit with fun as it continues to fight for its reputation as a magnet for the artsy, alternative, and hipster. Every season, quirky boutiques and food spots sprout up on its cobblestone streets. The neighborhood supports unique and homegrown businesses that cater to its longtime residents as well as hipsters on the hunt. Hang out at Piazza della Madonna dei Monti anytime after lunch and you'll always find something going on.
