Perfect location to all the places to see in Rome. The entrance was a bit ominous, but inside it was bright , dressed for Christmas, which made it feel homely. The staff were all really nice and helpful particularly the house-keeper. The rooms are nicely done, we had a junior en-suite which was great. Only point would be that the... More

Absolutely brilliant location, right in the centre of Rome. A ten minute walk to the Vatican, fourty to the Colosseum and everything else is in between. As for the hotel itself, the staff manned reception until 7pm so if you have any queries they could only be sorted out during the day. Other than that they were very accommodating, the... More

Stayed at 'luxury' on the river back in October. After reading previous reviews we knew it could be tricky to find but luckily we had a decent cab driver which we prebooked using www.blacklane.com Upon arrival we were greeted in a strange manor from the lady at the desk, she wasn't welcoming, didn't ask to take our bags, didn't offer... We just returned and what a great time we had. The hotel, which is more of a B & B in the sense that they only serve breakfast and reception is only manned from 7am-7pm. Like many before me has said you won't know the hotel is there if it weren't for the plaque on the wall, but don't be... More

I loved this place! Such a pleasant surprise! A little difficult to find, and shame about the lack of parking (but hey, it's right in the middle of Rome…) but thanks to the very helpful and friendly staff who gave us directions over the phone we weren't lost for too long! Such a unique set-up - only six rooms, and... More

We booked this Hotel through Secret Escapes so we were lucky to get a great price on it. Upon arrival it can seem a bit uninviting as there are no clear directions on where to go to check in!! but we found the reception on the second floor where Alessias? I think, gave us a warm welcome and showed us... More

Fantastically located little piece of heaven in the eternal city of Rome! Easy access to all major tourist attractions and the service we received from the team at the hotel, particularly Rebol was superb! We will definately be back and will recomend to all our friends as an excellent place to stay.

This hotel was a little gem. Yes the entrance is a bit stranger, but the building is beautiful and right on the river. The room was SO clean and big and had very high ceilings which I loved. It was also super quiet and very modern. It was sort of like having an apartment experience, while still having the convenience... More

I am having a lovely time at this hotel. The executive suite we are staying in is beautifully decorated, It is well maintained and very clean. Breakfast is very good. I have to say that the Wi-Fi connection is fast enough and steady. Having lived in Rome for many years, problems with broadband connection would tend to be beyond the... More

We stayed at Lux on the River for 3 nights and had a great trip to Rome in general. Overall the hotel experience was pretty decent although they fall just short in my opinion of being able to call themselves Luxury on the River. I should make it clear, to get the best out of this accommodation, it should not... More

Staying in Prati

Neighborhood Profile
Prati
Just steps away from the chaos of the center, Prati is the closest Rome gets to calm. Meticulously planned in a neat grid, quite unlike neighboring Borgo, Prati is a local favorite for its aesthetic organization and wide streets lined with a range of boutiques for every shopping fantasy. Nonnis pushing baby carriages and gossiping teens own every inch of the sidewalk, but that’s only during business hours. Once the sun sets, quirky sidestreet bars celebrate aperitivo hour, those evening cocktails that help wash away the tensions of Roman life.
