I recently booked a 4 night city break to Rome and chose the Residenza Ludovisi. It cost 250 euro (62 per night) for a clean, spacious double, with comfortable bed, big tv and very nice bathroom. i especially liked the shower, hot water came right away and with incredible pressure considering we were in an older building. i also liked... This is not a traditional hotel, set in an old block over 2 floors and mixed with offices and apartments, so don't expect any communal lounge etc Lift is from last century. The rooms are modern and fine, but the whole place needs a bit of maintenance ( as does Rome) Be prepared for wobbly toilet seats, doors off hinges... More

The hotel was satisfying considering the cost/night. The spot was good enough and just 2 blocks from the subway and 4-5 blocks from the closest central Piazza. The staff was friendly and was very helpful providing information and directions. Due to some construction procedure nearby, there was some noise in the early morning. The room was clean. The Wi-Fi connection... More

We booked this hotel via Booking.com in haste for July 16-19 2014. We read the reviews after the fact and wanted to cancel our booking via Booking.com and were told this was impossible. Using the knowledge gained from the reviews we prepared accordingly for our stay. We travelled with our two children and arrived with one small luggage and a... More

We were booked for 6 nights 18-24 July 2014. The booking was made in Australia on 24 January with the hotel direct, first by phone, then followed up in writing. We requested the sole use of a family room for 2 people at the family l room rate. with a request for a double bed and a sofa instead of... More

We thought we had been dropped off at the wrong place! there is no hotel entrance just a wooden door. 3 flights up via a quirky lift and we reached the small reception. Room was modern clean, and a good size (3 adults) Our room was literally right into the breakfast room, so we could hear everything from 7.30. Also... More

Our room was on the 3rd floor, it was cleaned, spacious and the style was very modern and nice. It had evrything we needed and it was... More

We were excited about staying here and when we arrived to check in they told us they were full. We were shocked. They then had us go to Residenza Borghese. The older gentlemen saw us with all our luggage and felt sorry for us so he paid our cab. Not a great first impression. The room at the Borghese was... More

My boyfriend and I stayed here for a short get away, even though we were only using the room to sleep in it was a little bit of a disappointment. Firstly it was VERY hard to find, there was only a tiny note on a buzzer which took us ten times to wall up and down the street to find.... More

Staying in Ludovisi / Via Veneto

Neighborhood Profile
Ludovisi / Via Veneto
Thanks to Fellini and La Dolce Vita, the Ludovisi and Via Veneto neighborhood earned its reputation as a posh area where gorgeous Marcellos wooed actresses and models while bored housewives hung out in streetside cafes. The cafes are still there, and so are the cocktails, but the neighborhood is now home to five-star businesses including hotels, banks, law firms, and embassies. The area is also right next to Villa Borghese, a beautiful park for sporting and cultural adventures. If you're looking for tranquility by night, this may be the place: Ludovisi and Veneto tend to shut down after 8pm.
