There's no air conditioning, so in summer it might be difficult to sleep some days. Also, the breakfest doesn't have many options, but these are the only cons. The staff is absolutely amazing, helpful, kind, a typical sweet and friendly italian family. My train to Rome delayed several hours and the staff girl called me and even waited for me... More

We stayed at the Gialel last October and I have been meaning to review it ever since. The room was fairly basic but very clean and tidy and very reasonably priced. Very well located close to centre with good bus services and places to eat out nearby, not to mention the best gelateria on the continent. The owner and her... More

Hotel is located near center ( about 15 min by foot to metro station Piazza di Spagna). Room was clean and comfortable. There was everything what you need during your stay. Stuff was helpful and nice :) They gave hints how to move around the city.

I was very impressed with the Gialel. They were very helpful before we even arrived in arranging a car to pick me and my elderly mother up from the airport, which was cheaper than a taxi. The hotel was clean with i found comfy beds. I would stay here again and recommend to other.

For the first two nights during our four night stay we were put into a very dark depressing room at the back. We were told that this was because we had requested a quiet room. We had also asked for a room with a view which this room did not provide. The window overlooked a tiny yard which faced other... More

This place wasn't anything too fancy, but the rooms were clean, had a nice room. very quiet and spacious. We didnt see another person the whole time. Easy walk to all of Trevi Fountain and really all of the major tourist sites. SO affordable, let us leave our luggage all day after checkout. Would recommend this.

Nice b&b with extremely helpful staff. The rooms are basic but comfortable. We had a private bathroom that was very clean and the shower was good. The metro is about a 10 minute walk away and the Hard Rock Cafe is only 5 mins up the road. Location is good to get to most of the tourist sights. Thank you... More

Very friendly staff. Rooms are very large with good light & airy. Two Bathrooms which are big and kept clean. Within Walking distance to Spanish Steps & Termini. I felt very comfortable here and wished I could stay longer.

I had an amazing stay at Rome thanks to the kindness of the very welcoming family running the place. The location is perfect having a nearby bus stop and supermarket. Most of the attractions and shopping areas are reachable by walking in this luxury district or by bus. The guest house is very clean and quite.

The staff at Gialel are warm and friendly, nothing is too much trouble. The hotel itself is very clean with spacious bedrooms. No en-suite but the shared bathrooms are spotless. Easy access to public transport.

Staying in Ludovisi / Via Veneto

Neighborhood Profile
Ludovisi / Via Veneto
Thanks to Fellini and La Dolce Vita, the Ludovisi and Via Veneto neighborhood earned its reputation as a posh area where gorgeous Marcellos wooed actresses and models while bored housewives hung out in streetside cafes. The cafes are still there, and so are the cocktails, but the neighborhood is now home to five-star businesses including hotels, banks, law firms, and embassies. The area is also right next to Villa Borghese, a beautiful park for sporting and cultural adventures. If you're looking for tranquility by night, this may be the place: Ludovisi and Veneto tend to shut down after 8pm.
