I have stayed at Casa di Barbara for at least eight times in the last year. Each stay was for around 2 weeks. I highly recommend this B&B for its location (walking distance to the train station that takes you to Fiumicino airport) and to the metro. It also has several excellent restaurants nearby (e.g., Novecento), happy hour bars (e.g.... More

We stayed at Barbara's for 5 days, and i can honestly say this is the best place, rooms are nice and clean, location is very convenient (near metro and testaccio); plus we really felt at home, Barbara and her Mom were more than attentive to our needs. You really get more value for the price you pay. I even forgot... More

I was referred to the B&B by another couple who stayed there in March. My husband and I stayed there in August...a very hot month in Rome...and the AC was blasting; which we very much appreciated! We stayed for four nights and for a while felt like it was our own private apartment in Rome. The bathroom and room itself... More

My boyfriend and I stayed in Rome for a few days, prior to sailing on a cruise leaving from the Port of Civitavecchia, and I have to admit that staying at this B&B was quite pleasant! The owner was very kind, and the rooms were very spacious, with decent size closet space, and a spacious bathroom. The best part about... More

This was an exceptional place to stay for several reasons: location, cleanliness, friendliness. The kitchen was well stocked with food, the internet was not only available but they also brought their printer so we could print out boarding passes, they arranged tours for us, they allowed us to leave our luggage when we took a short trip to another city.... I must confess my first impresion of this B&B was not good, but minutes after we arrived I realized it was a very comfortable and clean place with very nice people in charge and in an area conveniently connected. Why my first impression (so that you go prepared and manage your expectations): -The Priramide subway station is not nice looking,... More

I have been several times to the B&B Barbara. In fact, every time I go back to Rome, I stay there. Angela (Barbara's mother) treats me like her own daughter and is very hospitable and helpful. The place is kept spotless and you have full use of the kitchen and free internet. In addition, it is very conveniently located near... More

Staying in Testaccio

Neighborhood Profile
Testaccio
Put the house music on replay and you have Testaccio, an ancient Roman port and former working class neighborhood where the bass is set to high almost every night of the week. Its collection of discoteche (nightclubs), street parties, and crowded restaurants give it its well-deserved party reputation. During the daytime, Testaccio is more easy listening than club hit, the area is full of locally owned small businesses and has one of the city's larger produce markets.
