We stayed here for 3 nights and enjoyed our stay. We arrived late and Barbara stayed to welcome us and gave us good instructions on how to reach the places we wanted to visit. Having access to the kitchen 24 hours a day was great and there is always a good selection of juice, yogurt as well as bread and... More

This apartment has everything that you could need! The owner Barbara was extremely helpful both before and during our stay. Situated in the Pyramide area of Rome it is literally no more than a 5-10 minute walk to the Metro giving quick & easy access to all parts of the city. Nearby there are superb local restaurants that cater for... More

Barbara was amazing! She was there every step of the way and made sure that she supplied us with everything. First of all, Barbara sent us detailed instructions how to get there (not that kt was difficult but we were all arriving at different times and from a different airport so it shows how much she cares about her customers).... My husband and I stayed here recently for three nights, whilst touring Rome. The B&B is ideally located close to the train station and within walking distance of various restaurants. Whilst the building is quite nondescript, the room itself was excellent - extremely clean, with a large, well-stocked, bathroom (even down to shaving foam, facial cleansers, cotton wool, etc). The... I have stayed at Casa di Barbara for at least eight times in the last year. Each stay was for around 2 weeks. I highly recommend this B&B for its location (walking distance to the train station that takes you to Fiumicino airport) and to the metro. It also has several excellent restaurants nearby (e.g., Novecento), happy hour bars (e.g.... More

We stayed at Barbara's for 5 days, and i can honestly say this is the best place, rooms are nice and clean, location is very convenient (near metro and testaccio); plus we really felt at home, Barbara and her Mom were more than attentive to our needs. You really get more value for the price you pay. I even forgot... More

I was referred to the B&B by another couple who stayed there in March. My husband and I stayed there in August...a very hot month in Rome...and the AC was blasting; which we very much appreciated! We stayed for four nights and for a while felt like it was our own private apartment in Rome. The bathroom and room itself... More

My boyfriend and I stayed in Rome for a few days, prior to sailing on a cruise leaving from the Port of Civitavecchia, and I have to admit that staying at this B&B was quite pleasant! The owner was very kind, and the rooms were very spacious, with decent size closet space, and a spacious bathroom. The best part about... More

Staying in Testaccio

Neighborhood Profile
Put the house music on replay and you have Testaccio, an ancient Roman port and former working class neighborhood where the bass is set to high almost every night of the week. Its collection of discoteche (nightclubs), street parties, and crowded restaurants give it its well-deserved party reputation. During the daytime, Testaccio is more easy listening than club hit, the area is full of locally owned small businesses and has one of the city's larger produce markets.
