Marco is an excellent host and he runs a spotlessly clean place. His breakfasts are fun and tasty and his company is subtle and informative. The room is adequately sized and bathrooms too. Linen etc clean. Location is the best part. You can actually walk every where but it's in a nice quite neighbourhood. Make sure you try pizza box... More

I am really happy that your family has had a great time in my place! Your children are really nice, I think so, because their parents are even more cute! The next time you come, I will prepare for you personally the pizza !!! Thank You, Marco More

The host was very friendly and helpfull. The breakfast was excellent. He shared his usefull knowledge about sights and restaurants. The place itself was very clean and nice furnished and it was in walking distance to the big sights such as Collosium, Panteon and St. Peters. The neighborhood was nice and quiet.

We stayed for 3 nights in the snug family room, with two children aged 9 and 11 on the bunk beds. Our room was calm and clean, there was scarcely any traffic noise and Marco's breakfasts were great. The location is perfect.

I stayed 4 nights with my brother and mother and it was the most pleasant stay ever. Marco is really kind and helpful, an unforgettable owner/host. The property is located in Aventino, a neat neighbourhood and close to metro station. The breakfast was amazing and every morning Marco came with a new delicious italian dish.

Most of the reviews are on point! Marco the owner and host has made our 4 night stay unforgettable. The resort is located in a quiet safe neighbourhood and short distances to the train station, supermarkets, restaurants and main attractions of Rome. I highly recommend staying at Vecchia Roma Resort and would definitely stay here again! Thank you Marco for... More

I visited Rome in July 2014 and stayed at Vecchia Roma for 9 nights. Since I was travelling alone, I took the single-bed room. It was an unforgettable stay! Before I booked Vecchia Roma, I researched extensively on TripAdvisor and was impressed by what other travellers had to say about the B&B and its proprietor, Marco. I had very high... More

"Mamma Mia!" An exclamation typically Roman to tell you .... just thanks! I have tried to make your stay "loner" a little 'less ..... Solitaire! The next time you come back to Rome, I will make you question exactly as you do in school about your Italian! Thanks again, Marco P.S. Do not stop studying the Italian language, are very... More

Nicely located near Roman ruins (15 minutes walk), this unique option offered a different breakfast option every morning. We were travelling with our 11 month old and Marco, the owner, made her feel very welcome. However the room space was tight and charging 15E for a baby cot, in my opinion, is a little steep. The walls are quite thin... More

Thank you for your review. Also critical are welcome ...... when they are constructive! Regarding the surcharge of the cradle, are the normal rates in a city like Rome. By the laws of the City of Rome, the room in which you stayed, has the square footage of a triple room. As for the noise, unfortunately you can not do... More

Marco was very upset when he heard that we were overcharged on our taxi trip from the airport. He then arranged transportation for us, when we had to leave. We should have contacted him before we arrived! Rome can be expensive as we had to experience being charged 14 euros for two glasses of Coca Cola in a cafe close... More

I am very happy for your review. I was very pleased that your stay was comfortable in my seat. Usually I only get angry when people do not behave properly and do not do their job as they should. I think it's right by a great means of information as Tripadvisor, make known these unpleasant episodes, but I must also... More

We had a great time in Rome this July and Vecchia Roma Resort was a significant reason for it. The host, the the accommodation, the location - they all exceeded our expectations. Staying in Aventine

Neighborhood Profile
Aventine
Contrary to the chaos of the city, the Aventine is Rome’s oasis. A neighborhood made up of a patchwork of ancient churches, hidden gardens, private homes and embassies, peace and quiet is top priority and the vibe definitely friends and family. Take a walk around the Aventine and you’ll find a treasure hunt of surprises like the clever little keyhole at the Knights of Malta entrance (the only place you’ll find a line) along with Parco Savello (Giardino degli Aranci) next to the ancient Santa Sabina church. Keep your eyes on the 1960s architecture, several modern buildings are built atop Rome’s original 4th century BC wall.
